So I've been away from the game for a bit, my computer was acting crappy and making it impossible to play. I have a brandy new computer now and logging in last night was like a dream. I've never been able to see the graphics or move without lag. I was so happy. But I'm lost! I've been "missing" since pre-Frostfell and wondering where I should be at now. I'm 52/conjuror, and now that I can finally move properly I would like to start grouping. I've never been able to group well because of my severe lag so I basically soloed 99% of the time. Any suggestions on where to try to snag groups? Anything I should catch up on that I've missed out on? I noticed something about Master Strikes? Thanks in advance everyone

Here's what I do when I want to group. I post the following to the appropriate channel: "Looking to start a group for X - need more. PST! " - it works like a charm, i.e., start the groups yourself. Others, who are also looking for a group, will love you for it. Otherwise, have fun (re-)discovering the awesome world of Norrath!
Groups around your level are going into Klak, Court of Innovation, Clefts, Mine of Merth(sp?), Roost, POF, Shimmering Citidal. Some of these are EOF zones, so you would need the expansion if you dont' have it already.

First off Grats on the new system !!!

I too know what its like to loose out on your fav game due to lag, and return with a nice system.

The others covered the grouping situtation , just remember to use the level related channels when making a group so you can access players of that level range from any zone on that server. I know it sounds simple but its a mistake I made. In the other games I played I normally turned off the level channels as normally they were nothing but spam. I find it different in EQ2, the level channels are actually usefull.

As far as master strikes go , if you remember they were awarded each few levels. We got a choice on which one to select. They have changed this and now you get them for doing the Lore and legend quests. Find the L&L book and kill the mobs , once you kill enough mobs to receive the mob drops you are awarded a book(for your house) , an item for your house and a master strike related to the mob you just covered. There are few ( 3 in most cases I have seen) drops that you must receive from the mob, the others can be looted , bought etc. You only get one spell gem now for Master strikes, not one for each mob. The single spell gem will cast the proper mastery strike depending on what mob you are hunting.

This is a great site for info

link to the L&L section- http://www.eq2i.com/articles/Lore_a...Legend_Timeline

And to the main page for other info http://www.eq2i.com/articles/Main_Page

hope this helps
