Fresh new ideas!

Ok not being class specific, what changes or add ons would you like to see come to EQ2? Your ideas can include races, classes, quests, zones, mounts or anything that doesn't focus on existing concerns with your current class or EQ2. If I was a developer and asked you more specific questions about your idea, what would you add? Remember the important factors (who, what, when, where, why and how). So please be detailed in your response. This is a creative thread and not a complaining about my (?) thread so please keep focused on NEW ideas.

Overall what would you like to see come to EQ2

I would love to see:

*More creative ways to obtain quests. I love that there are a few quests that you can get from "wanted" posters hanging up in various places. Would be cool if there were some other non-traditional ways to obtain quests. Perhaps you could listen in on the conversation of some NPCs and gain the location of a little-known dungeon (think Oblivion if you've played that). I saw a suggestion in another thread to get quests via in-game mail, which I think is a GREAT idea. For example, if you finished a number of quests for one particular NPC, you might get a letter from that NPC's friend...."Dear Pipes - thank you so much for helping my friend Bob in North Qeynos. Bob thought you might be able to help me. If you see fit to do so, meet me at _____..."

*Wider variety of armor appearances (okay, I *think* this is being worked on, but it still feels like a pie-in-the-sky sort of wish).

*Wider variety of housing options - racially appropriate housing in the little hamlets of Qeynos and Freeport would be awesome. 2-room hobbit holes in the Baubbleshire, 2-room tree-houses in Willow Wood, etc. A step between the 1-room inn rooms and the huge housing in the very inconvenient main city zones would be a very welcome addition to the game. I love the idea of racially influenced housing as well (i.e. a hobbit/gnome house would have a short ceiling, a workbench for tinkering and a huge stove for baking cookies; an elven tree home might have a fletching bench in it and ivy growing over the windows; etc).

*Mobile crafting stations. How I long to have a spit that I can carry in my inventory and cook on the go! I miss the mobility of crafting in EQ1.

And, if I wasn't at work with a pile of nonsense to do, I could think of about 400 more.

Well, lets see: -Model Revamp Complete: Expect a deluge of new armor models in future updates. -Neighborhood Housing Added: You can now purchase land and build houses in instanced neighborhood zones in each city. -Live Event: Building the Temples: The prophets of the gods have scattered across Norrath to build temples to their gods. Speak to the Deity Historians to find where they've gone and assist in the construction. -Deity Specific Spells: Speak to an underpriest in the gods' temples to see about obtaining spells and combat arts specific to the followers of your god. -Expanded Class Guilds: the class guilds in each city have expanded into full-blown quest hubs with storyline-driven quests that span all levels. Travel to the guild of your archetype to join and start the quests. Things like that will pretty much do it for me .

Game update: Josgar We here at SOE believe that Josgar is the best High Elf, and we decided to use his ideas to change Norrath, so we named this update after him. Overall updates: Rejoice, Josgar has blown up New Tunaria and has rebuilt Felwithe in its old place! Josgar has comissioned builders to build houses in villages! Some old towns have been discovered! A new holiday centered around Josgar has been put in! DAOC RVR styled PVP *insert some common bug fixes here* Felwithe/ New Tunaria

Felwithe has been put in place of New Tunaria, however the New Tunarians were VERY sneaky and teleported the whole city away before it blew up. It now lies inside the Plane of Growth which can be accessed through a new druid portal spell OR through a rift that has opened up in Greater Faydark.

Felwithe's layout is the exact same layout as it was 500 years ago with the following changes:

North Felwithe and South Felwithe have been combined into one zone! And the North and South districts will have their names appropriately named so North is North and South is South!

More tunnels have been added throughout it!

Only High Elves may start here, but any good aligned people can come in here

The city has also expanded, and will be larger than the EQ1 version, but it will be an addition to what was already there, so some places will have the same old layout, but there will be new districts

Housing

Housing has been added to: The village on the Island of Mara, Windstalker Village, the Cross roads, Felwithe, docks of each island from EQ2 Classic, Thundermist village, some kind of village in Nektulos forest, Rivervale (which will be a nice city to those who wnat to move there by the time this update would go out), the splitpaw city place where you do the quests for the gnolls, Halas, Gnomeland Security, Fort Irontoe, and many many more!

The NHC (NAtional Housing Commissoners) have added floor and painting options to Kelethin and have added houses with porches to Kelethin!

Each village that gets housing, will have mostly 1 and 2 room housing and maybe a 4 room house. Cities that were starting cities in EQ1 will definatle have houses up to 5 rooms big!!

Many items sitting around in the world have been converted into house items.

More armor and weapons can be mounted on your wall of your house

Books can be placed on book shelves.

Rediscoveries: Halas, Neriak, and a few others Felwithian Independence from Maygong Mistmoore

After being liberated, the Erudites cast spells on the New Tunarians willing to go back to old ways to convert them back into High Elves

Statues of Josgar have been added to Felwithe

Coyote Sharptongue will also have a Statue here to remember how he saved the Fae

During the Week of the FIFMM Celebration, any High Elf can move into Felwithe again more easily than they could normally.

The closest find to the Thex line will be crowned during the first celebration of this holiday!

Fironia Vie will make her return! (and she might have a bigger role than Lois Lane does on Superman, NAH she will be kidnapped some more)

All High Elves will obtain a new racial ability!

Felwithe Aria Music boxes will be given out!

A book telling how Josgar saved Felwithe will be mailed to everyone!

Pictures of Josgar and Statues will be new house items!

even more things will happen detailing how Josgar saved everyone!

DAOC styled RVR battle grounds are being added!

There will be three teams: Freeport Alligned, Qeynos Alligned, and a freelance Alligned based out of Haven

The new battle ground will be an island bigger than Karan (the island qeynos is on) and smaller than twice the size of that.

You will only be able to fight in that area. Castles will be spread throughout this area to seige. By controlling certain amounts of castles, you will get special exp rates/ hp/mana bonuses

Catapults can be used to seige these.

There will be three outposts here that cannot be taken over, and will be safe havens for those fighting.

The only way to get here is by boat.

This Island may be familiar to those who have played EQ1, and we will let you guess what area this use to be.

Insert stuff about class balancing blablabla!

All servers with low populations were being merged until the number of new subscribers increased All Cheaters (plat buyers, sellers, spammers and those who play unattended) were banned SOE was putting anyone else thinking about cheationg on notice that they had dedicated an entire department to tracking them down and banning them and that all accounts banned would be made public knowledge That mounts had their reverse speed increased to half of their forward speed Shared bank accounts were know sharable across factions That SOE was planning a mass marketing campaign to encourage new subscribers That a new subscription plan was available and for $20.99 you could keep your 4 toon slots that you would have lost due to cancelling your station access. New adventure packs will be released every 4-6 months as was planned originally...and none will cost over $5.99 the game will be rebalanced so that ALL solo players will be able to actually attempt encounters that are not 9-10 levels below them with the possibility that they can defeat the enemy

Guild housing! A larger then the 5 room hall that grows as your guild levels and gathers more resources. Completle with a meeting hall, dorms, npc's all of it!

Ability to learn more unique abilities. Say after doing a pile of writs for your home town mages they teach you some goofy cantrip. Nothing game altering, but something fun and unique.

An empty hall in each of the main cities that can hold a raid. Do some general quests to get access to different versions of it (Holiday themed, wedding themed, etc). People can hold events inside it.

Better dual core, sli, etc support. These are not going away, while eq2 has a tiny spec of dual core support it's so CPU heavy it could use a lot more.

Personal banks sharing gold as well as items between accounts.

Ability to buy items from my house and have them mailed to me, same as withdraw/deposit. Also maybe ability to mail items to my bank.

More content with the Fallen Dynasty theme, it's an awesome mini expansion and would love to see more content with that theme.

One more for me LORE ITEMS CAN BE PLACED INSIDE SHARED BANK...ONLY ONE ITEM PER CHARACTER so if one toon already has the itme they can't remove it from the shared bank....This will allow characters on the same account to pass on LORE items

IMO: More players (marketing, ads) MORE...ARMOR...AND.. WEAPON...GRAPHICS: my first character was a necro, was in a tradeskill instance and saw a high level necro... had the exact same patterned robe as me except was tinted very slightly differently.. that just isnt right.. as you level up you should look stronger as your gaining levels. I've always thought this was where EQ.. one and two lacks the most More content for the 40+ crowd.. man, i know people will say it'll spread people out more.. but as a altoholic, having more quests and places to go would be lovely.. i love solo instances as well, but we have a good number of those imo.. but would love more of them that scale with your level, and have neat little rewards at the end, like the solo splitpaw arena.. ect, not fabled equip.. but 'fun' stuff and maybe a treasured item. I honestly think most any instances should have solo and group options along with scaling with level.. but obivously there'd have to be reasonable limits based on the zone the instance is located in

***Headlines*** HIGH ELF OPPOSITION: Ultimaomega has finally gained a following, albeit small, of minions, er, lesser high elfs ( and a hobbit or two) that mostly agree (by a 2/3 majority...stupid hobbit...) that he is vastly superior to Josgar. Besides, he has shiny plate armor, whereas Josgar uses a paper bag. It's not even made of post-consumer recycled material! *gasp* Head to the new headquarters in New Tunaria (which relocated after Felwithe's takeover) to take part in quests to sabatoge the environmentally UNfriendly Josgar.

I really mostly love the game as it is, but of course, there are things I'd like to see improved or added.

Wish list:

More mount variety. Only having different types of horses are kinda lame. Don't get rid of horses, though, just add more different types of mounts.

One word: MiniMap! I soooooooo miss this from other games, not just WoW, even non-online games that have had this for years.

I really liked the option to PvP on a non-PvP server if I wanted to in WoW. Right now, if I want to ever PvP, I have to re-roll on a PvP server. Adding this would be pretty cool.

These are a bit off from the main topic of this thread, as they are not cool new things, but the reality is that in my "dream game", these issues would be addressed. These are things that aren't major bugs, but tick me off many times a day. I call them "funbusters", they turn a game into work, and I don't want to work, I want to play!

Fix some of the user interface issues. - When I'm in a broker window and I click, scroll my mouse wheel, hit Enter, etc. I do not want my character to do stuff like run away from the broker in the middle of a transaction, I want that action to apply to the broker window. - Apply keyboard actions more appropriately to what is currently happening. For example, if I enter a window that requires input, place my cursor in the right starting place. If I'm in a window that sets the broker pricing for something and I hit Enter, this means I want to hit the Ok button, not send a tell. Just generally, make the user interface work like 99% of GUI programs out there, not some other weird random way.

Let each of my characters sell his/her own stuff! Having to work around this limitation with shared banks/mail is a stupid pain in the neck.

Allow me to pay upkeep for my room more than 4 weeks at a time. For one of my characters, I never go to my room for anything. The only time I ever go there is when I notice that my broker items are no longer listed as being sold from my room and thus buyers no longer get their discount. I then have to run from QH to my room in the Baubleshire, pay 4 weeks of upkeep and run back to the QH broker. Rinse and repeat every 4 weeks as needed. This bring me to:

If you don't let me do the 2 things above, at least notify me when a) my room upkeep needs to be paid and b) when something is taken off the broker from one of my characters. I shouldn't have to discover there things by accident. Actually, the one character selling thing I never knew until a buddy told me.

Better broker search facility. This may be tough to implement and it has improved, but I still do things at the broker daily that are tedious workarounds to the limitations. For example: - I'd love to be able to search for all weapons I can equip. I don't care if they are crush, pierce, ranged, or whatever. If I can equip it, lemme see it. Don't make me do 4 separate searches for something that I should be able to see in one. - I'd love to be able to search for all armor I can equip. I don't care if it's cloth, plate, jewelry or whatever. If I can wear it, lemme see it. Don't make me do 4 separate searches for something that I should be able to see in one. - Let me search for bags/boxes/quivers with x slots or higher. - etc.

Add an all server chat channel (did I miss this, is it already there?).

Give all cities the same travel options. Getting to many places from Kelethin is a PITA.

Improve the info on the web site -- why isn't any of this on the official EQ 2 site??? Please correct me if I'm wrong about these, I would love to be wrong about these! This is an area where Blizzard has been on the ball pretty much since WoW was released. There are fan sites that have some of this info, but it's usually outdated and has all the typical features of a site maintained by someone who isn't doing it as a full-time job (I am not trying to knock any site, I am grateful for any info out there, but I hope you know what I mean).

Reasonably detailed descriptions of the classes. Not just one or two paragraphs. Something I could actually use to make an informed decision about playing a class.

Full and up-to-date lists of class abilities/spells.

Full and up-to-date lists of AA trees.

Full and up-to-date lists of crafting recipes, etc.

Man, I'm rereading my own post and it really turned into a rant. I really didn't mean for it to be that , but my "dream game" would address these issues. So much of what I would like to see has been said already. But One thing I would love to see...is the old tunnel vision and swaying that drunkeness brought to you in EQ1. I just thought of this with the advent of Brew Day and I must say being drunk in EQ2 just isn't as much fun...although I do like the quadruple vision....hehe

All characters turned into Frogloks because the rest of the races suck. Lag isn't so bad in raid zones that you will go LD every 30s anymore! Itemization is no longer designed by 3 year olds! Mystics and Warlocks get some much overdue loving! Mystics SoW is unnerfed! all that and stop upgrading graphics and noob zones. Yay, DFC is getting reworked! Edit: Wow I look at these posts and almost all of them are: Make the game easier! Make more lower level content! God, if anything they need to do the exact opposite.

Revamp all tier 5 and tier 6 raids to tier 7 with proper itemization. Fix lag and the crappy LD upon reviving issue. Fix all performance issues so people can actually play the game on extreme quality in raids without running at 5 FPS. Remove exp debt, replace it with exp loss and corpse runs. Remove shadowknight set gear from loot tables so mains can actually get something instead of alts or random people in 60-69 that buy looting rights off of you. No longer revamp freaking lowbie zones and add new content that matters, such as raid zones. New feature that automatically banishes casual players to another server with a separate rule set that won't affect the real game, so they can whine and get things dumbed down to their hearts content. Hm, I could come up with more but I'm getting lazy.

I want window shopping for clothes and the ability to try them on before buying! Currently, it's either a gamble when buying clothes or hoping that a third-party website has the item pictured. I'm not going to waste status and gold on clothes from the City Merchant, or anyone else selling clothes, unless I know what it looks like first! This also would be beneficial to the Tailors selling their wares.
more quests, some solo dungeons, a way to have the high-end class specific loot that's no-trade be able to turn it in to an NPC which would in turn, give back a reasonable item of my actual class (ex. turn in that plate armour chestpiece to this NPC, and have a cloth robe returned to my necro so i can actually use the item i got during a 4 hour raid outting), creature taming hahaha - since i cant have it in SWG, maybe we can have it for EQ2 muahhh

Content -new very high end raid instance. - new T7 contested mobs in New Tunaria (2-3), Kaladim (1-2), lesser faydark (1-2), Loping plains (1-2). -all of the epic quest Sword of Destiny (not just another chapter). think if they added that content i would be happy till the next expansion.

A high-level Tradeskill quest series (like a signature quest) requiring only crafting with possibly some drop components that can be obtained in trade (not that the crafter has to loot him/herself) and crafted items (the same and not from the same class as the quester) as components as the that grants as rewards recipes for legendary items (requiring a no trade drop component that drops in heroic instances) and a trophy type item for the primary weapon slot and with particle effects with skill bonuses for the crafter.

More armors please. Brawlers had never great choice, but now we compete with melee biased druids (AA). Maybe a bit exaggerated, but there is about erm... two chest pieces out there for T7. Cant remember when i saw the last chest with STR, STA and AGI. I d buy crafted, but it looks horrible. Not necessarily relic, set or fabled. Just some decent looking leather with stats for a fighter. Not talking about Gi's , they are a different story.

On the subject of housing: We need couches! Would love to take an existing Qeynos 5-room and tear the attic out and make it a rooftop outdoor area. "Limited" dyes. I've heard they don't want to add dyes, but how about "muted" dyes or dyes that only cover the normal spectrum of red/blue/green? What is it about hitting lvl 70 that says "You must always look like a handful of skittles!"?

Let me start with things I would like the most....

1) Bigger zones. If I have to sacrifice some level of detail to get a zone I cannot run across in less than 5 minutes, or that is larger than a series of connected canyons, so be it. I also play WoW, which has much simpler, much less taxing graphics, yet manages to be just as (more so) visually appealing. I want to be lost in fantasy. I want the feeling I got playing EQ years ago, running across West Karana, endlessly--I mean, I felt like I was on an endless plain.

2) Don't just make the zones bigger, make them more interactable. What I am getting at here are the mountain zones--Everfrost, Feerot, Lavastorm--where the actual playable areas are small corridors between impassable mountains--like Rathe Mountains used to be in EQ. I want to go up on those hills, and I want to find interesting things when I do. Of course there will be a few hillsides too steep for me to go on but these would be the exception, not the rule as they are now.

The game that did this best, btw, was AC--the original Asheron's Call. Huge world, and you could be down in a valley looking up at a snow-cap, cloud shrouded peak, and then you could climb that peak and hunt Yeti on the glacier fields in the clouds, and then you could climb higher and be looking down at the valley floor below, where you had just been. Yes, their environments were computer rendered and much of that huge world was all the same, but EQ2 goes too far the other way with tiny little zones that cramp you into even tinier areas.

3) Then, while youare making zones larger, enhance my fatansy immersion by showing me plants, rock formations, etc, that I cannot find here on Earth. Finally SOE seemed to get this with Faydwear--prior to that the fauna was essentially something I could find here--Feerot could be Central America, Antonica could be heartland USA. Don't just make huge trees and weird colors; make interesting rock formations, paint me a background of towering peaks, have some spectacular waterfalls (of course these features would be too much to be interacted with but they could be seen).

4) Have the Queen open her treasury and order Qyenos repainted--such a drab city. Freeport is more in line with its theme, and more impressive in the first place.

5) Now that you have painted the setting for my fantasy environment, start putting in more story, more quest. Yes, there are some--just add more. I liked the idea someone had of having class guilds give quests and storylines that advance all the way. Personally I like the epic weapon idea that involves an upgradeable weapon--I start with my ghoulbane in the 20's, then in the 30's I do a quest to upgrade it, and so on, instead of eventually hanging it on my wall and remembering the time when it was my uber weapon and the quest to obtain it was the ultimate quest.

I think if you upgrade items you achieve the side effect of giving players a reason to go back to lower level content, instead of simply grinding their way to T7 and then getting T7 gear. I have done about 25 or more heritage quests, but I can't think of a single item from them I currently use--except, believe it or not, occasionally my manastone. Oh yeah, I carry my raincaller, but only because I am a paladin and don't really use bows other than for pulling, and hence have not invested time or cash into a better bow. Many of these items were uber at the time--we SHOULD outgrow what they were, but what if we could then do quests to upgrade them?

6) Shifting gears a little, redo loot rules. For the no-drop set items, have them drop an item for someone in the group. I have heard the sarcasm "Why don't you just have the boss zone out and hand you all the loot table while you are at it." but hey, for the non-hardcore player, with a real life outside this game, running each instance 30+ times to get a specific set piece becomes grinding, takes all the fun and story-line out, etc. I don't think making them non-no-drop is the solution, no, let us have to EARN those pieces, but give me a 1:6 chance per dungeon run instead of about a 1:12 chance (and I will tell you, I have run instances a while lot more than 36 times for the 3 set pieces I do have). Let's be honest, grinding is the developers' easy way out of having to make up new content.

7) Develop some sort of LDON system for fairly nice upgrades. For those who do not recall, LDON was Lost Dungeons of Norrath, an expansion of EQ that let groups run fairly defined, single group dungeons, and get points for finishing, which could be cumulated and then spent for nice items. Not quite as nice as high end raid gear, but better than single group gear. Perhaps every time I finish an eof instance, besides getting a crack at loot (which in some cases I already have) I am earning points I can spend for some nice weapon, jewelry, etc. Again, I repeat, this would slot in above the best stuff that can be obtained in a single group, and below the best raid gear, so that end-game raiding would still be the ultimate experience and loot in the game. It's just that not every serious player can be part of a raiding guild.

That is enough for now....

Uh oh-really shouldn't get me started.

Love the ideas of raced based housing and more housing options. Already added my house wants to the wish list on Norrathian Home Show forum. But, I'd also like Vitality to be tied to housing kind of like "rested exp" in WoW.

The biggest thing I'd really like to see is more imagination and variety in combat. I'd like to see MOBs that do unusual things, like charming, blinding, calling their friends, porting you to another part of the zone, running away, require a magic weapon to hit etc... You know, things that make fighting a little more challenging and require a little different approach. Or one that will instantly erode a random piece of your armor or weapon putting it out of inventory til you repair (that would be interesting) Perhaps a MOB that if hit with a steel (or some choice of metal) weap will increase in power, or decrease your power etc... Just anything that would keep them all from being so much the same, same, same.....

I'd also love to see more variety within zones, slippery ledges, places that stick you to the wall, or tentacles from the ceiling that grab you etc... Maybe a trap that instantly ports your whole group to a random part of the dungeon etc... Just something that is different.

I'd also like to see weather play a more important part in the game. I think it would be pretty cool if there were zones that could only be accessed at certain times of the year due to weather restrictions. For example a wintery zone that you have to cross a frozen lake to get to and it's only solid enough for two months of the year. Or a zone that is impassable except for high summer when the snows all melt and you can get through the pass.

I'd really like to see sneak work differently. It really would seem more like sneaking if I had a better chance of sneaking behind a MOB than I did in front. Somehow it just doesn't seem right to stand inches from a MOB but he can't see me because I'm sneaking. Would be nice, if in some zones, you really did have to sneak. If you could hide behind pillars and furniture and such. It would be really cool if everyone could do this, but maybe Scouts are just better at it.

I'd like to be able to shrink and grow people like you could in EQ and to have some places where you have to shrink big races and grow small ones so they can get through some steps in the dungeon. That just adds a bit of challenge and requires a bit of planning.

I'd like taverns to be a place to get information. As another poster suggested, a place to overhear details of a quest or dungeon etc... But if there are unusual MOBS (as suggested above) perhaps it would also be a place to find out these details before one enters the dungeon. Perhaps if you sit down and drink with the locals you would hear tales about Grizzlesnout the Terrible who can erode your weapon with a gaze etc...

Oh yeah, would like to be able to get ports to far away zones that you can keep in your apt. You would have to get pieces of a puzzle and then put them together into an image. Once the image is together you can use it to port.

Would love to see more gambling games that are actually fun games to play, not just a simple lotto. I would like these games to be in the taverns (where games are supposed to be). Games where you could play poker or Blackjack, or maybe darts of some kind. If there is a worry about the economy then all games can be against the house, and we know, the house always wins more than they lose.

The little glowy rings that you see in some zones need to be revamped. These could be really fun, but they need to provide better items. Even if they just give you a shiny every now and then. As they are, they are fun, but just not worth the trouble because the rewards are so crappy. Perhaps they could offer pieces that when put together would create a nice usable item, one that can only be obtained that way.

Horses need to do more. Would like it if they could jump further. Carpets (especially the quested one) should back up slowly, but horses should maneuver better (especially expensive ones). High level, expensive horses should aid the fighter. Horse adornments to add to their abilities.

I want to be able to belong to more than one guild. A primary and secondary.

Servers for different play styles. Create servers that have easier and harder levels of difficulty. For those that like more challenge, make the exp slower, MOB's harder, lower the drop on the loot tables, put shard runs back in etc..... For those who want an easier game, just reverse all of the above. You can't transfer between them.

Being a "casual" player with an aging computer, I've rarely grouped... AFK a lot, short play sessions, computer lags badly in a group of more that 3 or so, etc. I LOVE this game... especially exploring, getting into trouble, getting out of it on occasion. Interacting with others is GREAT, yet due to my (and others' personal constraints, it is limited, but a LOT of fun. Currently, I've leveled to 70... mostly soloing and mentoring a buddy once a week or so.

I understand the lure of groups and raiding, and think, no I KNOW, the game would die overnight if raiding was hindered in any way. I would, though, like to see (though I know it won't happen) a choice, when entering zones, dungeons, etc., to be able to choose (much like some instanced scenarios) if one is "solo," "grouped (or looking for group), or raiding. The difficulty would adjust, somewhat, to one's choice, i.e., mobs are easiest in "solo" choices and give lesser rewards, while "raid" chosen instances of the zone/dungeon would remain the same. This would allow all of us to experience the entire game, while not destroying the obvious lure and rewards of the highest level raids and zones.

I realize that solo and "grouped" encounters should NEVER get the "uber" loot and experience rewards of raids, but it would sure be fun to be able to explore and encounter "gimped" versions of the various higher level zones and rewards.

Just remembered another wish. I would really like to show up online to all my friends and guildmembers even if logged on with an alt. I know some people log alts so they can do stuff without being bothered, so if that's the case there should be a way to turn off the option. It would make finding friends so much easier than having to input 5-6 different names for each person you want on your friends list and trying to remember who is who. It would also be a much better way for guilds to know how many actual members they have at any given time and how many are alts.

For that matter the friends list needs a lot of attentions. It needs to show the class and level and allow players to click on a name and send a tell.

So since it's not really an issue, I would just grant the automatic updates to get players that are overpowering in an area out of there as quickly as they can kill all the mobs that they need.

1: A "general" city faction that isn't either 100% loving you, neutral, or 100% hating you. Basically the faction symbolizes reputation with the city as a whole that is earned... and this reputation can either stay where it was, "he was a city hero, but had a brain-fart", or be dumped to zero "he betrayed... who cares about him" if the character swaps cities. At higher factions, one can burn status and plat for armor that is decent (not as good as the best raid stuff, but about a "grade" lower.) 2: A filter to disallow people to send me /tells if their account's age is under 2 months, their character is lower than level 10, and the account does not have all expansions. 3: An ability (even if it costs something like $5 a month, plus the cost of the SecurID keyfob) to have a SecurID or other keyfob attached to the account, so on login, not just the username and password are required, but the 6-8 digit number from the keyfob as well. This locks out keyloggers cold. 4: Drogmors for sentimental value. 5: Some large zones, like the original Velious or Kunark zones. 6: A LDoN-like expansion with a lot of instances, and a central plot for each camp. Of course, armor and items buyable with points. 7: Monster missions. This is a cool thing to do in EQ to learn about historic battles and such. 8: Solo quest-lines that occur in instances, similar to the initial Splitpaw solo quests, but with a much longer quest arc, and multiple zones.

my dream update to see...

we can now able to "Hire" the henchmen if you failed to find group to get some quest that need to get completed. (Guild Wars/ Neverwinter Nights's concepts).

cost to hire and fee for per hour, base on tier rank. 10% harder on loot drops and drops seem to be more rarer than in real grouping of players. not designed for farming. hiring some henchmen would have some loot penalty by making the drops more rarer.

whole purpose is to assist with helping to complete your designed quests if unable to get it done or not getting helps with other players due to their "anti-social" attitude.

see reason why Bloodline Chronicles failed, many latecomers find this game uncompletable due that many older players already finished and not wanting to play or to help them to finish it.

also i was away for nearly 2 months due to surgery and new computer upgrade, and find my claymore questline nearly ghosting and not able to get group from guild mates as well since they heavy travelled in EoF and now recently Unrest. so it really screams it need those ghost town zones must had need to revised.

normally, i used to do Cloak of flames which took some folks 2-3 weeks and maybe extra time to completed. i help those finished and finding the pages in meanwhile, then few days later they were finished so soon while i was in bed and feeling betrayed and this quest took me more than 2 months to get a last "Cyst Gem" in butler's room i need, yes, i waited 2 months to get that 1 part updated. no matter how hard i begged for some helps from guild.

i would had left that guild long time ago and move on or would decide to optional to close eq2 account and move on to simpler and less demanding required "forced" groupings and sick of hardcore. many i knew that help me in past had move on to other games and i was told to give up eq2 and leave that guild that is no longer as fun group and was going extreme. took me awhile to see things happening as guild members declining in droves and i would had it done months ago to stop any more sufferings of waiting for groupings in weeks, that is pure mental torture and i cant take anymore waiting for hours and and repeat on next day and next day and so on.

just my opinion, it needs Henchmens!!!! only for durations of the quests that need to get done, dont call me anti-social, you are! you failed to help fellow eq2 players when they need the most. they are just running around bragging with claymores and such hard quests when they need my help, but no more! had enough of being used.

i have been waiting to finish Claymore series for 11 months (may 2006), been in too many bad groups, too many different goals, and it tearing them up, even when the guild fails to keep thier promises.

Would like to see a way to change your tradeskill.

Could be a quest to change it and then you would lose all your skill in your old tradeskill and be sitting at level 9 waiting for you to choose your new tradeskill. OR even level 1. Just let me change it.

Clothing Inventory Slot -

Just above the Chest Inventory Slot ...

Can equip Clothing such as the Tailor Made items, Male / Female Formal Wear, and Gi's.

The clothing covers all other armor (just like the items listed above).

These new Clothing items will come in a variety of styles and colors. Perhaps, 10 different styles, each mapped with different texture maps / colors, resulting in let's say, 30 styles total for each Gender.

Read: Copy / Pasted with the devs messing with the Hue Saturation.

Male / Female Formal Wear is EXACTLY what I am thinking, only 15 more needed (remap them with different art files that have been Hue / Tone altered.)

Armor dyes. Please.

More 1-hand weapons that Scouts can use, & more of them swords/daggers. There are plenty of nice duel-wield options, not quite so many 1-hand weapons suitable for DPSing Fencers. No self-respecting Swashy who cares about his/her appearance runs about with an axe, for Brell's sake, or a freekin' spear. & if you don't care about your appearance, then just hang it up, because you're not a Swashy; go be a boring Templar or something, they're not supposed to be sexeh anyway.

More "style" options, so we Swashbucklers can demonstrate to the whole world just WHY we're inherently sexier & hawter & more stylin' than everyone else. It's just not obvious enough, yet, & you *know* how desperately we Swashies care about our appearance. Seriously, if you don't look drop-dead sexeh doing stuff, it's not worth doing, & since drop-dead sexeh is the REAL role of a Swashy in groups/raids, we need better tools with which to perform our role.

O, yea, & armor dyes, too. Did I mention armor dyes? Seriously, what self-respectin' T7 Swashy would be caught DEAD in public, wearing that hideously fugly blood-red Xegonite stuff? My GOD. Combine that with my guild's blue cloak, & I looked like a walking bruise. HIDEOUS. No wonder people raid for stuff like Nemesis (love that green color) or Relic (/drool, Swashy relic armor is the pimpness of pimpness!) so they can get rid of nasty-looking garbage like Xegonite. What a nightmare it was, going from relatively nice-looking T6 Cobalt, to the eye-sore of T7 Xegonite! MAKE IT GO AWAY!!!!!!

More options for the appearance of my flying carpet. Mine looks like everyone else's, which is simply *wrong*, because I'm a Swashy, & I'm supposed to look better than you. I can't look properly better than you, if we're both on the same "worn & threadbare" carpet. We Swashies deserve Swashy carpets, that aren't any faster than anyone else's, but LOOK simply smashingly better. & what Swashy wants to be seen on a "worn & threadbare" carpet anyway??? I want a NEW carpet, one that doesn't have threads hanging bare all over the place! Why, mine's so worn I can almost see through it in spots! That might be acceptable for a Ranger or something (it's not like tree-huggers care about fashion, right? Just look at your average hippie Ranger for proof!) but not for me.

O, yea, & armor dyes. Don't forget them. They're important!
