New player- Betrayal Quests?

Just need a little info on how it works My GF and I and playing Duo Necromancers atm. From what I have read, if I betray Freeport to qeynos that I will become a conjuror. I dont mind becoming one (Actually I want to become one) But what does that do to my spells? Do I start fresh? Are they easy to upgrade? Just a little confused on it. Thank you =)

<p>Yes your spells will reset back to app 1 and you will have to purchase upgrades for the new conj. spells. The good news is you retain your level. The bad news is it takes a while to do the quest(about 4-6 hours depending). Once you clear your negative faction you need to gain 10k positive and become amiable to Qeynos. Then you have to do the citizen quests which is easy enough. Your class change over is the last thing you do in the betrayal so you won't have to worry about it til the end.</p>

Dunno about the easy to upgrade part, but when one becomes an Exile one's spells all reset to Apprentice 1 levels.
