How does one do this? My conjuror just received an ability that summons a temporary pet, and it has the same name as the primary pet. Also, how do I set different names for the different pet types once they're acquired?

forgive the exact wording, but you will get the idea.

/dismiss pet /petname name /usea petspell

Make one for each of your pets, so you can have a different name for each pet.

You dont need to dismiss the pet. As soon as another pet spell is called it will remove the current primary pet for conjy's/necros.

Ya but you can no longer name swarm pets. We use to be able to before LU13 I think it was.

as a necro i have 4 main pet macros for summoning each of them. and i've made macros for all my fluff pets and diety pets. Each summoned with a different name.

Thank you! I'm not in the habit of thinking in macros, so that never occurred to me.

it's simple to do... no need for fancy macros, somantics or gesticulations needed. (otherwise you will have at least 3 different macros... simply to name pets? umm ya...)

for each new pet you want, just type in /petname "whatever you want it to be". then cast the pet. Rinse and repeat. i do it all the time. no big deal and gets many laughs.

As an assassin, when i have my pets up, they are called Useless (my rat), Worthless (gorg? pet), and Senseless (hooluk hat pet). There's also Tearis, my mummy pet from Inny. Named him Tearis after Tearis Thex. Seemed appropriate since it was a Teir`Dal Assassin that killed the Koada`Dal King. *grin* His soul may be with Tunare but that doesn't mean i can't have fun with corrupting his corpse and upsetting the entire Koada`Dal populace and his vampire's [Removed for Content] daughter.

and yes, it is possible for me to have Three up at once. My deity pet always overrides one of them, but i never pay attention to which. I want to say its the "gorg? pet" since both it and my deity spell are considered "casted spells", whereas my rat is an ability and the hooluk is from an item.
