Hi Everyone, I was wondering if anyone knew a macro command for canceling wards after a fight? I know i can just cancel them by right-clicking, but there is also the proc ward from the shaman AA STR line, which can be hard to find sometimes. A good tank will get aggro anyways when the next encounter rushes me because wards are still up, either by ca's or taunts (i also play a guard). However, tanking can be a little stressful sometimes and i dont want to add to it : ) Thanks!

There is a way to cancel maintained effects via the /cancel_maintained command but you can't target effects by name, so making a macro to remove a certian effect isn't really viable. You can specify a number and it'll delete effects from first to last on the bar, or something like that. Anyway, the pet ward originates from the pet right? There is no way to cancel that kind of buff without killing the pet off.

A friend did some research into this when I started looking for a way to create such a macro. The /cancel_maintained command does work, however the number is yes, in order of casting: advances everytime you cast a spell (ie. you cast a group ward, it will be maintained spell with a value of 14, next time, lets say you debuff, throw a couple of hostile spells, next time you cast the ward, it may be value 29) and the entire mess of maintained spell number values changes every time you enter a zone - therefore there's no way to find out what the existing maintained spells are assigned as values when you enter the zone - lord forbid you have left a ward on too long! K that's a little melodramatic - the long and short of it is, practically, without writing some sort of add on to the game there is no way to track the /cancel_maintained values (if someone knows of a way, fess up!)

ok, thanks for the replies : ) About the ward that the pet procs, i realized i would have to cancel somehow this ward on the mt to prevent mobs from rushing "wolfie" next time hehe ...Ah well, its no biggie, i was just wondering about it.
