As of the patch this morning, I am unable to launch Everquest 2. After I run the patcher and it updates the files, I click play and get EQ2 Client has stop working. I have tested this out to make sure it was the patch this morning that stopped me from loading EQ2 game, I have installed Everquest 2 from the EoF DVD's, and then tested to see if the game would load. It loaded the Everquest2.exe with NO problems. Next, I then ran the patcher, and once again the games will not load anything past the EQ2 patcher. Everything was working other than random crashes. Now, the game does not load pass the game patcher. Since the release of Windows Vista, I have had all types of problems with ALL Sony games locking-up or freezing my computer. For pictures and computer setting visit http://lisenville.net/computer/default.aspx, it is for the lock-ups and I am receiving in Vista. Is anyone else having these problems?

Thanks,

John

I too crash to desktop when pushing play. It started when update 32 was put up on feb. 28th. I havent played since.

I have tried everything tech support told me. The game worked fine before the update 32.

Also, after it crashes, when I restart the launchpad, the update patch starts over so I have to wait hours to try again. I already unchecked red only and even used attrib command at command line to remove read only attribute from everquest II folder.

The patch caused the game not to play. I had changed nothing

Wuts up Sony? im at tier 2 tech support, getting help slower than molasses. Your patch made my game stop working, and now I have to wait 2 weeks plus now for you? Whats the deal?

, Lance

I have this same issue as well, and I have found a temporary solution that works atleast in my case Try this and see if it gets the game working Right click on either the Everquest II shortcut on your desktop, or on the start menu and click Run As... change the selection to "The Following user" then enter the information for the Administrative account, then click ok, then see if the game will launch that way.
