Apply Poison - does it break stealth?

<p>Has anybody confirmed this?  I have stopped applying it for about a week or so and have noticed a large decrease of mysterious stealth breaks.  They're not totally gone but I would say maybe 75% less.  While anecdotal, it seems to me that the results corroborate the theory.   I have not tested Mark breaking it, but I wouldn't stop using it even if it did.</p><p>That would really be great SOE design, giving us a buff that hurts us.  Thanks!</p>

<p>I too have been wondering about this. I must admit i've been too lazy lately to go out and test it, but as Jayad said i wouldnt stop using Mark even if it does break stealth. I wouldnt stop using Apply poison (on raids) either, since i figure Apply Poison increases overall raid dps more than a few broken stealths could decrease it (there are ways to recover broken stealth, as we all have unfortunately had to learn)</p><p>It would be REALLY nice if some Dev could take a look at this for us tho, just to let us know one way or another and maybe get it fixed if a problem is found. I mean, these two abilities really should NOT be messing up our stealth. I dont think anyone would argue with that.</p>

Both things break stealth, or at least Mark does since I have not stopped using it. I haven't used AP this past week during raids and my stealth still breaks quite a good number of times.

<p>I just tested it cause I was bored, not a very extensive test mind you. </p><p>Used a dirge, she removed all her buffs and stuff that might affect it. It triggered 6 times in the fight we tested it on. I was in Stealth using surveil for 4 of them and then I switched to stealth with Masked attack for the other two and it did not break stealth once on any of them.  I didnt test it using concealment. So unless theres something else that needs to be going on for Apply Poison to break stealth it doesn't appear to from what I can see. </p><p>Kokusho post was honestly the first I had ever heard of Apply Poison breaking stealth and some of my assassin friends from way back say it never did so I dont what is really going on.  Based on my tests it doesn't, but someone else could have very different results.  My stealth gets broken just as much without it as with it as far as I can tell. So Im just going to pick a position and say it doesn't.</p>

So Im just going to pick a position and say it doesn't.</p></blockquote><p>I tested under controlled circumstances with slip away,  concealment, and surveil just now.  It is no longer breaking stealth.  Reactives ending still break stealth however.   I'll start using it in a raid environment again and see what's going on..  Nearly all of my stealths breaking stopped when I stopped using apply poison. </p>

I have used Apply Poison extensivly over the course of several months in a raiding environment and never seen it break stealth, or heard of it until today.. Weird..

Weird.. </blockquote> It's actually been a long time issue since Deserts of Flame, and one of the original complaints of our class besides the overall damage nerfed we recieved with that expansion.  Although in controlled environments it's not breaking stealth, last night in a raid environment, I was still getting stealths broken until I took off apply poison from the zerker.  I'll need to pour over logs more in depth to get a better idea as to what's going on.

The person you put it on. It's a proc buff like any other a mage might put on you.

I have not officially tested it at all, but the only thing that I personally see breaking stealth for me is Malignant Mark triggering.
