I have always had trouble deciding what would be the best areas to place my points in regards to the Mystic's AA areas. I currently 2box a Monk/Mystic duo at around lvl 54.

EoF tree: I boosted the SOW and all both HP/Sta buffs to max. Eventually Avatar, and poison AoE.

I respecced recently to work towards getting the wards on the cures, and trying to get to Ancient Balm upgrade.

KoS tree: Lots of trouble finding something I liked. Trying to get 8 ranks in Herbal Expertise, since I cure so very often. Herbal Expertise (Rank 8 ) Basic single target cure spells have reduced casting and recovery times, and cost less power. Maximum Rank8 Effects: with 8 ranks

Increases the speed of basic cure spells, by improving casting speed by 100%, recovery and reuse timers by 32%,and reduces power cost by 48%.

I would appreciate as much feedback as possible

Quick link to Shaman AA Calculator.

I happen to like a ton of points in the AGI line, for 100% melee crits and the berserk buff, plus a ton of points into turning your spells into CAs and the proc in bear form. Ups the mystic's DPS by quite a bit.

A vast number of these seem to be based arond the pet, which really stinks since I don't care for using the pet. I also think its kinda useless, IE 3 hits its dead most often.

Anyone find a good combination that didn't put focus towards pets?

So far I see 2 items of use in the Agility line: Ancestral Authority (Rank 8 ) - Increases the Chieftain's chances at critical melee damage. Passive Spell Effects:

Increases Melee Crit Chance of caster by 100%

Ancestral Spirits (Rank 8 ) - Increases the Chieftain's chances at critical healing. Effects:

Increases Heal Crit Chance of caster by 16.0%

My build is one that avoids using the pet, I have the agility line and the stamina line with 8 in the critical hit and heal, and 8 in the speedy cures.

At first I had the buff line from EoF, and I often partner with either a monk or a dirge. The line worked fantastic when grouped with just one other person. After the SoW nerf its not worth 5 points anymore, just get a freebie carpet. I switched over to the cures and working on the melee damage increasers.

If you are going to play 2 characters, with your primary as the monk, I would suggest going with the buff line, The extra bolster time may not seem like much but it was nice and so was the proc increasers when using adorned weaponry. Also, if you are playing the monk as a main I would go with getting lots of dog stuff. The wards from the dog attacks are nice and make the mystic work less hard. Also, loading puppy up with a lot of attacks is helpful, and I think there are AAs to make the dog immune to AoE attacks.

The wards on cures are nice, but not great. It caps at 150 points which is a drop in the bucket. And if you are curing that much you will be spending more time on the Mystic than the monk!

My monk partner missed my buff spec so much that he leveled up his own mystic that he two boxes with. I think his is strength and intel lines with the EoF buff tree and some of the cure tree (just enough for immunization).

It starts with one called Threads of the Desert (I think) near the gambling goblin in Sinking Sands.
