I'm a 70 troub, mostly been crafting and pve, raiding etc, but not so much pvp. I would like to learn how to do better. Mostly when I pvp it's grouping, not solo. I had a few questions about song selection, and was hoping for some advice.

My gear is not bad, mainly relic and nightchord.

First, I have read here that the requiem song is great in pvp. How exactly does it work? I have read the description and just cannot understand. It seems to require that a group member be hit first, then procs? Is it mainly good against casters, though? It seems that about 90% of my deaths come from melee-ers, so how does it do against that? I guess I am just wondering if it is really that great pvp.

I also hear a lot about PoTM. I never used it much ... its it really worth being taken out of the fight for the proc, or am I just not understanding how this spell works?

Finally .... is Alin's deaggro song worth anything pvp. or is it just a waste? I am just wondering if it causes them to periodically lose target or what?

Thanks in advance!

Don't run RoR in solo PvP... ever. 12% at master is useless. And it is 100% useless against melee and combat arts. You are right though, you have to be hit for it to proc, and then the next spell is reflected/absorbed. PotM is great in group v group, when you have a warlock. Otherwise, don't bother. Alin's... i guess if you had alot of melee classes in your group it might help, but otherwise its not much good. 5% to drop target when you hit someone... you shouldn't be hitting anything thats not wearing a robe so this really aint that great.

My usual song setup for solo PvP: Dove song, Raxxyls, Opus, Daelis, Quirrons. Swap dove song for Alins once I've mezzed/debuffed the target. Alins has this annoying habit of proccing while you're debuffing, and then you're quite frequently dead. The wards on the resist songs are reallly nice as well, the heat/cold one basically gives you another 230ish hp every 6 seconds against wardens/furys and the arcane one almsot completely shuts down chanters. (Blocks power drain etc)
