rare gathering item

yea for gathering/mining etc does the drop rate increase once a player leaves the newbie area?  seems like id hit like 30 unearthed ore's and 1 bronze/copper cluster would drop upon like 10 of a certain item.

Actually, the drop rate for rare harvests DEcreases the higher up you get (that's why they're called rare!)  Tier 1 rares are fairly easy to get, but by the time you get up to tier 7, it will take you longer to find rares in tier 7 zones.  You do have a better chance of getting a rare if your harvesting skills are maxxed for the tier, though.

so like being maxed in Tier 1 is like having 50 skill in a particular harvesting skill?  which would be like having to actually be lvl 10?
