In-home sales containers are carpenter-made, from rare woods tier 3 and up. If your EQ2 account has been active for 3 years then you can also /claim one as part of the "Veteran Reward - 3 year" claim package, otherwise you'll need to find a friendly carpenter.

Carpenters can use severed fir, severed oak, severed cedar, severed ironwood, or rough lumbered ebony to make you a sales container. They make two types: general containers, which are called "salesman's crate" and can hold anything, or specialist containers, which hold only one type of thing (e.g. only spell scrolls, or only food/drink, or only armour). The specialist containers are significantly bigger than the salesman's crates, so if you do find yourself selling a lot of one type of thing it may be worth getting one.

To use the container, click the 'sell' tab on your market board and replace any strong boxes or bags that you're currently selling from (you'll need to empty everything out of them before you can remove them). Put the sales container on the market board sell tab, put the stuff to sell inside it, and set the prices as normal. Now, while you're still on the 'sell' tab, right-click the sales container. You'll see an option in the menu to 'Place Sales Display'. Select this, and you'll get an image of the sales container on your cursor that you can place in your room like any other furniture. Place it somewhere easy to find, people can then enter your room and click on the image of the container to buy directly. You don't have to be in your room and you don't have to be online, though you do have to log on every 24 hours as normal or your items stop being listed for sale.

Hope that helps!
