I've been gone from eq2 for about 3 months. Just coming back right now and re-assigning my aa's. I looked at Eagle Shriek and I dont think it's any different than it used to be, but I am wondering if this actually helps our survivability all that much. I mean, thats a pretty hefty mit buff that it grants. Wonder how much 1400 mit actually adds % wise to your absorbtion of attacks. My thoughts were: if you drop below 30% you're probably going to die reguardless of 1400 more mitigation. What are your guys' thoughts?

So far my experience with it has been that if you're fighting solo or heroic content, it's beautiful. If you're in a raid and fighting trash it'll give either enough time to FD or receive a heal. If you're fighting an epic named, you're probably going to die.

As a Raid MT i can't imagine playing without this AA anymore, i'll probably respect if i become a "normal" bruiser some day btw. The 1400 mitig helps a lot to grab a heal after a lucky round while tanking epic mobs, it's help too when you have to cast a miracle (rallos one that heal for 25% + DS instead of dying for exemple). The minor bonus for me is for dps when i solo, i go HP/Avoidance + agro gain in stuff and ability choice so my dps is a bit low for a bruiser and 75% critic when under 30% health helps me much. I hope that SoE gives more tanking stuff for brawlers instead of sharing our drop with druids, may be one day.... That far i've MT GK/labs/lyceum/ToS/MMC and many other epic content but i'm mainly legendary stuffed, i know many brawlers go dps and i can understand that, but we are fighters and i sware we can MT pretty fine. I can barely solo a blue ^ <img src="/smilies/8a80c6485cd926be453217d59a84a888.gif" border="0" alt="SMILEY" />

I'm sorry, I didn't mean to imply that bruiser cannot tank epics or MT raids. What I meant to convey is that IMO Eagle Shriek is more useful in dealing with heroic content.
