I hit my 70th aa yesterday--have str 444682 and wisdom 444872. I have 20 points in eof healing, which works quite well for me. I am now trying to figure out which eof line I would like to take next.

I am considering support, for the following reason: basically I will never be MT on our raids--there is a much bigger paladin who is our MT (well, better geared, he's human, I am ogre, so I am bigger, really), and there are a couple of guardians who would be the next to step up into MT role should he not be available. I do tank in groups a lot, but I hold aggro like the mean sob I am. Went to MMC last night with a swash, assasin, brigand, and conjurer, along with me and the healer, had amends on the swash, who was putting out about 1700 dps--never lost aggro. So I don't really feel like I need to take wrath just to hold aggro in groups better.

The big question is, does support line actually offer anything? I see the end skill gives us a cure--like castigate but castable on anyone. Is that something unique to paladins, and hence valuable, or can pure healers also do that? If the answer to the latter question is yes, then I think I am going to toss support off my list of choices and debate between wrath and hero.

Well, I know that Mystics can pick AAs that not only cure each of the various ailments but also pops a ward for that ailment at the same time. I can't speak for any of the other healer types, though. I think a lot of times paladins choose wrath not just to help hold aggro, but because when you are NOT the MT, it's kinda nice to feel like you are actually pulling your weight in doing damage to the mobs. AE-based DPS increases significantly with this line. ~Hawke

Thanks for the reply.

As for wrath, aye, there are good reasons to take it--and good reasons to take hero. I will have to think it thorugh carefully.

I'd get hero line. You're still a tank, and hero makes a big difference. Even if you're a support tank this is the best line. You can put the extra 6 or so points into the support options you really want. If you are specn for OT raiding: healing, hero, and some support is what you want. Specifically in support look at fast intercede and group armament. Also don't overlook wisdom line in KOS and heal crits.

The huge heal & dmg crits from that line will far exceed any healing/support capacity from the STR line. If I were you I'd take the last 9 points out of wisdom, too.
