I seem to be stuck at 283/350, I've not had a skill up in over a month I think, having just spent half an hour jumping off of Kelethin with no skill up's I'm curious as to where else is a good place to train it that's possibly slightly quicker than waiting for the lift? Also, it's not something I've ever attempted to actively train before and I'm curious as to wether you need to be suffering no falling damage with a 'You land softly and avoid hurting yourself' message or is it better to take take some damage for skill ups? Thanks,

South Qeynos mage tower. The three floors there are all accessible with teleporters. Those are gona take you up a lot faster than the acorn lifts in kelethin. Safe fall has changed with the release of EoF so its more reliable now than it used to be. I dont know how it is to get skillups with the new system but u didnt have to take damage for a skillup chance when i maxed it. A certain minimum height was still necessary thou. Id pick a lvl where u take little damage which shouldnt be to hard now. With the old system it was either a full crash or no damage at all....

Yeah the Mage Tower is where I used to train my SafeFall too. Have some good food and HP regen totem, and you can non-stop teleport and fall. Aim your falling ang you can step in void from the 3rd floor to go to 350.

If u want to raise ur safe fall from 180 to 350 u can go into vaults in barren sky clear the zone and then theres a teleporter on the middle of the zone. U turn ur run off and press Scroll Lock ur toon is gonna fall down byitself hit the teleporter which will port u back up and ur gonna fall again over and over and over .

If you need such stupid tricks to get an update to a skill you commonly use I think something is wrong with the game mechanics.

I'm not sure I got any update to save fall after that patch but for sure the skill is not really moving even I take loots of shortcuts with high jumps when I travel arround.

I can't argue with safe fall being broken, I just wanted to max it, took me a couple of hours but I got from 283 to 350 at the Mage tower tonight, there were periods of up to 15 minutes with no skill ups whatsoever, bear in mind that was almost continual porting and jumping, it's no wonder I'd not had a skill up during 'normal' play for weeks on end. It's even worse for low levels, an alt of mine I was trying to get safe fall skill ups on had the nasty situation where the slightest difference in height would either result in death or nothing whatsoever, I ended up having to gain a few levels so my health would be able to cover it, attempting to level the skill in line with character level was a lesson in frustration and deaths.

The way safefall works in Qeynos mage tower must've changed. Just yesturday I worked up my safefall to 110 then went to the mage tower to test it out. Well, I went to the lowest level (The blue circle) and jumped. Did 2700+ points of damage, so no chance for a skillup.

vaults in Barrensky. After clearing the first portal u can put walk on and auto run and keep falling into the teleporter. and if our a fae have a friend /duel you and turn on ranged auto attack and AFK. He can break your featherfall if he stands at the bottom facing you. He'll fire an arrow everytime you walk over the ledge.

as of March 9, '07 skillups in the SQ Mage Tower still worked fine for me, but it's a truly mind-numbing pain in the back. I started training in the mage tower from about 110 skill level, every 5-10 levels I would go in and train up. Start with the lowest porter, blue, and just get in a rhythm. After a skill of 200 or so I switched to the red porter which will allow you to go all the way up to max level. I was up to about 300 when the new changes took effect but have still trained up to 345 since then. I think the higher your skill level the longer it takes for a skillup to occur, by 340 it just took forever, like the other person stated, a full 15 minutes of constant rotating for maybe 1 skillup, but sometime a quick 1 or 2 in a row.

Compared to swimming or harvesting the safefall was the worst skill to "train". I'm not going to bother with the last 5 skill points for me, the time was too insane and I really don't jump/fall much, with the adornment which reduces falling damage by 35% I feel covered for most/all mistakes I might make. Like someone said, it helps to have a regen totem active while training so the damage you take won't cause you to stop for too long before the next jump. I can jump off of the highest level, yellow, and only take around 3k damage, about half the time I take no damage at all.
