Hello, I was wondering if our guild was the only one still having problems after the website updates from Echoes of Faydwer launch? I posted in the tech support forum, got no help there, I sent private messages to Grimwell, and some of the people that are supposed to take care of the website, but I never get a response. I don't know if they are just ignoring the problem and our guild or just keep overlooking our requests for help? To make a long story short, after the updates from EoF we couldn't log into our guild website, all our pictures were gone and each line of text had odd characters at the first postion of each line of text on the website. I was told not to worry about it by other players and that SoE would fix it. Eventually we were able to log into the website to administer it, but all of our pictures were gone, totally. There were no pictures from our guild events, beta tests, art pictures, etc. I have been trying to get someone, anyone to respond and take a look and tell me where the pictures went. After the most recent forum update, yesterday I think, all the messages I had sent to devs privately were all deleted, but not by me. As for the pictures, most of these we just can't get back, because some of the players that passed them to us to post no longer play the game or just don't have the pictures anymore. Please, someone, anyone, look into this for us. Our website is:

http://bloodros...om/

We have been patiently waiting since Echoes of Faydwer was launched to have someone fix this but our patience is running a bit thin several months later.

I suspect this thread will get moved...

Our guild website (http://lonewolf.everquest2guilds.com) also lost all its imagery a while back. I petitioned for customer support and I was promised a response that never came. In the end I recreated the forum logo image and uploaded the few screenshots that had gone missing. I sympathise with you, but that's all I can do.

And, like you, I'm frustrated with the text corruption on the guild websites. That is a real barrier to maintaining the content. But all we CAN do on that side is wait on Sony, and hope that they recognise that there IS a problem. My last communication from customer support about that hinted that there was nothing wrong, and that the problem was somehow mine for trying to insert nonstandard characters (which I was not), at which point I threw my hands up in disgust.

The guild pages is broken in a really bad way. with a bit of ingenuety you can actually add stuff there, but you cant see it. At least not on the shadow lords page. you'd think that since they have the service of guild pages, they'd actually keep them updated, or at the very LEAST working,b ut nah. No such luck. Otoh, the web dev team seems to be one of the laziest ones I've ever seen. the most web based stuff for EQ2 is jsut really, really poorly done. Hell, the KoS exp pack webbie wasnt even finished, and still aint, when KoS released. EoF was good though. Thats always something.

Its nice to know that we aren't the only ones, I just wish I could get someone in the know to contact me, I had the same kind of response from petitioning but never got any response there as well past the initial, "its being looked at, have patience". I know the red names such as grimwell get a ton of PM's each day, but I can't believe is that everyone I have PM'd to has never read my emails and responded.

News flash: The guild options have never worked entirely correctly. The leaderboards are completely screwed as well. My only advice to you is to set up your guild website on some other hosting service and pay the $5 per month or whatever for that. Check just about any major raiding guild and you will see that in most cases their websites are hosted elsewhere. And what really makes it sting is that people are saying that the VG website features are pretty much error free, right from launch. And after over two years they can't get our stuff right?

We aren't a big raiding guild and with the price increase for Station Access, no one can afford the extra money to go start a website elsewhere. Would it be nice to? yes it would, but that also doesn't tell us what happened to our pictures or get them back for us either
