Right ! I've been whoosing around the Warden forum for the last couple of nights and to be frank i'm stuck......

I'm a level 70 Warden and i Raid quite often....but i also love questing and trying new things out... Every now and then i end up being the only person in our Guild who is online and was wondering what is the best way to skill my Warden ?

I seen people say go for the Str line and others say go for the Int line but surely there must be a diffrence. I personally think Furies do best with the Int line where as a Warden would be best off going the Str Line. Am i seeing this correctly ?

Furies have plenty of Damage to pass around where we Wardens come a bit short...

Currently my Warden reaches a 4k Migi without the match perfect equipment.....

I am thinking of going Melee so i can solo a bit more frequently....I have 4 Sets of Armor i carry around with me FT Armor, WSH Armor, Resis Armor and now i'm building on Str-Agi-Sta Armor would any of you see this as a wise choice ?

Druid Tree

Str: 8-4-8-4-2

Agi: 4-4-4-8

Wsh: 3 for the Extra Mana

Warden Line

Single Root 5

SoW 5

Group Root 5

Patron of the forrest 5

Spirit of the Bat 5

Regenarative spores 4

The rest would go in the CAs so i can get the 75% Melee Chance

Is this a wise choice or are there some things you would change ?

Thanks for the help in advance

Best regards me fellow Wardens

Yarnila Graumond

I've got a 70 Warden, Melee specced.

Go Int line for Nukes, Str for Melee.

Melee is good for solo as the attacks are quick and leaves time for healing inbetween. Melee attacks use less power than nukes and so sacrificing some Wis for Str isn't an issue. I went for Str armour and Wis jewellery to get a good balance. There is a nice ring at 67/68 that gives +25 Str and Wis which is nice (Bloodfang ring I think, goes for approx. 50g on Splitpaw)

If going Melee then you need to get down to the +75% Crits as quick as you can. Put 5 points in all melee abilities to get your damage up ASAP. Once you are melee then roots don't really matter as you'll be getting up close and personal, and with your heals you don't need to worry aout adds too much as you'll be able to take a lot of damage. SoW is nice to have and can be branched off the Melee tree rather than the Movement one. I'd go Spirit of the Bat next then Patron. Spores is nice but I went with the Trauma cure line before that.

That is a good setup for what you need to do.. mebbe spare some points to get the end-line agi and pick up nature's walk for a small bit of raid utility, but they're not really must-haves.. other than some minor differences, that setup is pretty much exactly what I'm running and it works just fine for what you'd need it to do.

The reason you don't see a lot of discussion about the ability is that its unambiguous. If you are going to melee spec, you need it. If you are going any other spec, you dont.

Even though Id agree that full druid str line with full warden CA line is the best way to maximize both's rewards .... Ive recently respect my warden line to get nature walk and shatter infection. But kept the str and Sta line on the druid tree ... I was raiding last night with this set up in labs ( was a solo healer in last group with pally, wizzy.swashy) we were a little short on healers ... and raid wasnt full .... but we did have 3 wardens.

My group seemed to fair atleast second best in surviveability (not sure why ... but id like to think it was my uber healingness ....lol)

This spec seems to give me good utility ... I use the adornment for two hander that gives me pwr , so that with chance of healing is nice.

The reduced reuse timer on deagro, and nature walk actually came in handy, Pretty much the whole cure line was useful in there , and my immunity to stun from sta line is nice.

So Hey !!! Mixing and matching does work ... But every one should try the full mele spec atleast once .... like the end ability says .... Your a Force of Nature
