Hello,

I just wanted to update everyone on the progress this month and our plan for upcoming updates. We have recently finished the rollover from the Lithium Guild Forums to our own internal solution. This means that if you are still experiencing issues with Guild Forums, we can help you to resolve them. As part of this change, all previously existing guild forums have had all their forums set to maximum privacy. You will need to have your guild leader log in and reset the permissions, because the new method is different from how Lithium did it. If you are experiencing any issues with Guild Forums, please post and let me know.

We will be doing a scheduled maintenance tomorrow morning. This maintenance is primarily bugfixes for the EQ2 Players site. I will post release notes once the build has successfully gone up. We will be moving right back into bugfixes once this release is complete, and I expect to patch again a month from tomorrow's release. If there are issues which you have not posted, that are not included in our known issues, please let us know so that we can address them.

The trial period which was extended for some time beyond the launch of the EQ2 Players Re-design is over. I expect this will cause some confusion, as people become familiar with what features are free and what features are premium. Here is a basic rundown of the way that the service should work:

Customers who are not subscribed should be able to see their own front profile page, upload 10 images, get a Forum Signature, see a complete list of spells available for each class, and use any of the pre-defined leaderboards. Privacy permissions are of course available for anyone as well.

Customers who have subscribed to the Advanced Guild Tools will be able to use Guild Chat, and we are currently in the design phase for an enhanced version of the "Guild Wall of Fame" for those customers.

Customers who have subscribed to the Advanced Character Profiles will be able to see their entire profile, as well as the profile of anyone who has not chosen to hide it.

Customers who have subscribed to the Screenshot and Image Storage will be able to upload 200 images, instead of 10.

Customers who have subscribed to the Item and Spell Database will be able to see the full details for any item, and any spell, including the variations from Apprentice through Master.

Customers who have subscribed to the Leaderboards and Rankings will be able to use the custom leaderboard searches to create their own reports, and will be able to use "My Leaderboards" to set up your own personal leaderboard which tracks only the players you want to see.

If there is any confusion about any of this, please post and let me know. As always, we value your feedback in improving the service.

Known Issues:

Unique Guild Members column is sometimes inaccurate.

Some titles contain meaningless strings.

The Level History is showing an error for people from merged servers.

Most Status Leaderboard shows guild level, not guild status.

Localization issues from some locales prevent page from loading.

Fae show as Qeynos faction.

Guild Search always shows LFM as True and Alignment as Some value.

The Website for guilds with Custom Domains show up as N/A.

Game-Wide and Server-Wide Discoveries are switched in Signatures, and may be switched in other places.

Servers which don't exist anymore show up as "No row" errors in Level History and Item Discoveries.

Some EOF Factions Missing.

Lithium Guild Forums not recognizing ranks.

Some links to the My Leaderboards section do not maintain character Id.

Date field missing on tradeskill history page.

Character Skills are off in several ways, particularly Tradeskills.

The Rares Harvested rankings do not match the various leaderboards.

Guild Roster XML is in invalid XML format

Secondary Tradeskills do not update when you switch.

Most Master Abilities leaderboard returns no results.

We are considering the following enhancement requests for future patches:

Guild Roster should allow sorting by level.

Guild Roster should include "By Tradeskill Class".

Character Id in Guild XML roster.

Internal Guild Rankings.

NPC with the Most Kills.

Achievements currently only shows Kingdom of Sky achievements.

Thanks for the update, Jabru!! It certainly sounds promising.

As I've detailed here, there are also some issues with the news archives on the EQ2 Players site; it would be awesome if they could be looked into as well.

The Username / password page you go to from pressing 'Sign in' takes ages to load up its frippery graphics... and after it has finished loading these graphics the cursor focus is reset to the 'Station Name' field. So, what happens is that while this page is loading, I enter my Station Name, click on the password field... and more often than not as I'm entering my password the graphics finally finish loading and then - cursor focus is reset, and I'm suddenly entering my password in the 'Station Name' field.

I unsubscribed from it. And yes, I realize that it works for some people. Rest assured that it does not work for a lot of us as well, a fact that was confirmed in my correspondance with the TSR.

As the only guild leader re-registered to use this new in-house forum, I am unable to utilize the management tools completely. I attempted to delete an established forum so we may start from scratch and received the following: An Error Has Occurred
Please use your browser's back button and try again. Reason: null I used my back button and tried again, to no avail.

The guild roster is not up-to-date, it still lists characters that have either been deleted or moved servers. Only seems to update the roster information when that character logs in/out (not sure which), which doesn't reflect rank changes unless they log in..

It's not just guild data that is not updating. I changed my secondary skill to Transmutting on 3-10 and leveled it to 45 on 3-12. The character data still shows tinkering(1). I was seeing any change to my character the next day, Just how often is the data updated???

As of 3/12/07, guild search parameters still haven't been reset to include guilds with less than 7 members. Which means that a small guild doesn't get a chance to be seen when doing a search for guilds on a particular server. This hasn't been working since 11/06, I have reproted it numerous times, and am still waiting for a fix.

I can confirm that the "Oblivious" guild on Unrest hasn't seen a roster/skill/member update in several days.

Same for me on the Storms EU server. Profile has not been updated for days (I'm 20 now, hourra). http://eq2players.station.sony.com/...terId=614235302 I changed the profile image and that worked although, without the stats being updated.

Another example for you of a character who has not updated in days (no more like over a week!)

http://eq2players.station.sony.com/...terId=384583121

I'm on Vox server.

And what about leaderboards how often will they update (or will they ever)? I'm getting really tired of paying for features that don't work - especially now that I"m going to be paying more per the lovely message I received! I use the ranking and leaderboard features on a daily basis and they haven't been accurate for more than one day in a row for months.

Don't think we need to link any more specific examples, NONE OF THEM WORK.

I have just cancelled the EQ2Player features on both my accounts. Several features have been broken since launch, character updates have been broken for a week and we receive very, very little information from SOE. I sincerely doubt these things will ever be fixed in a satisfactory way. But what can you expect from a company that can't even put a preview button on their forums...

Assuming anyone at SOE is working on the update problem. I have noted that Achievement points are updating quickly at least on the main achievement tree. But, nothing else. I switched from tinkering to transmuting on March 10 and it still shows tinkering(1). I have also increased status points earned, but no indication. IS ANYONE AT SOE WORKING ON THIS PROBLEM?

Just wanted to post an update - There was an issue caused by Daylight Savings Time which we did not catch. We have resolved the issue at this point, and your characters have resumed updating. I apologize for how long it took for us to identify this issue.

Not everything is updating. Check out my provisioner's ranking page (specifically the tradeskill level): http://eq2players.station.sony.com/...terId=440511101 Then click the view tradeskill history. Last time I checked, 33 != 37. I could be wrong though, it has been a while since I took any math courses. I have no idea if the rest of the numbers are updating. I only noticed this one because I gained 4 levels in about a week and the rankings page never updated. I didn't think to actually click the history link until today (03/21/2007) because I *assumed* the level on the rankings page would be equal (or HIGHER) to my actual tradeskill level. I know... silly me for making assumptions about EQ2Players.

The most masters ranking leaderboards page comes up with a "no results found" message. This should be added to the list.

Add one more problem to the list. If you change in game from one secondary tradeskill to another (ie. Tinkering to Transmuting), the in game skills only show the current tradeskill. But, EQ2Players continues to show both skill levels on the skills page and on the summary page only Tinkering (alphabetically sort, Ti before Tr). Need to delete the old tradeskill as it is no longer valid.

Guild Chat is currently scheduled for investigation, again. The unfortunate reality is that the issue with guildchat is intermittent. There are a number of paid users who use the service on a daily basis. There is no common thread which we have yet been able to identify that is preventing some users from successfully using it. I realize that there are users who are essentially unable to use the service right now - we have investigated possible issues with data, possible issues with account settings, and several other system-wide issues which have occasionally paid off. The number of users able to access guild chat has increased substantially, but it is still not perfect. We are continuing to investigate why some people are still having issues, and as we make progress I will keep you up to date.

Thank you for the update, Jabru. Also, thanks for adding the Master Ability leaderboard issue to the list. I know we are approaching the date for the next patch for the site. Any chance the internal guild rankings made it in? If not, can we have a ballpark on when you are expecting it to go live? Nothing for us to hold you to, just a morsel for the starving mob.

Someone brought up in another thread that we no longer have the creation rank stat on our guild pages. It says when the guild was formed, but no longer their ranking. Not as important as internal guild leaderboards, IMO, but still lost functionality.
