Damage per group member

Recently I was in a group where somone was doing somthing I had never seen before. After every kill he would post to the chat window a list of everyone in the group and the amount of damage they did in the encounter. How is this done?

A good and popular combat parser is <a href="http://home.maine.rr.com/eqaditu/ACT/#" target="_blank" rel="nofollow">ACT (Advanced Combat Parser).</a> I do let it run in the background for my own reasons, but I don't paste the result into the group chat. It may be misleading for some classes and a good portion of players don't like parser, so just respect their decision <img src="/smilies/3b63d1616c5dfcf29f8a7a031aaa7cad.gif" border="0" alt="SMILEY" />
