<p>Why do my guild forums now say access denied? Can someone shed a little light on this?</p>

I came over to post the exact same thing. Glad it's not just me. Help?
<p>when I go to my guild's website and click the forums, it fowards me to the EQ2players website... If I try to get to the forums from there, I get the access denied, though it does appear to be the new forum style, so I am wondering if this is perhaps a bug with the transition?</p><p>Regardless, I gave it a week before I reported it, thinking it might be something that was a result of the 'conversion' but this is getting ridiculous.</p>

<p>Hi everyone. I'm reviewing the issues regarding the guild forums. Currently we are aware that the link from the Guild Site is not working. To access your guild forums, you can login to the eq2players site and on the page of your guild profile, click the Guild Forums link on the right side of the page.</p><p>If you are experiencing other issues with the guild forums, please let me know. I'll be watching this thread. Thank you!</p><p>--voodoo-- SOE Platform QA</p>

Voodoo that didn't work for me. I clicked on the guild forums and it tells me "Access Denied" and when I click on "Forum Index" it takes me back to the main EQ2Players site.

Azran, it looks like you have access so either you or another one of your guild leaders set up the permissions. Idara, your guild leader needs to set up the permissions for one of your guilds. The permissions are completely different that on Lithium so we weren't able to transfer those over. Once your guild leader sets up the permissions and gives access to "Member", then you should be able to access the forums Thanks, Sentinel

The Username / password page you go to from pressing 'Sign in' takes ages to load up its frippery graphics... and after it has finished loading these graphics the cursor focus is reset to the 'Station Name' field. So, what happens is that while this page is loading, I enter my Station Name, click on the password field... and more often than not as I'm entering my password the graphics finally finish loading and then - cursor focus is reset, and I'm suddenly entering my password in the 'Station Name' field. </p>

I suggest you talk to the guild leader to give you access.

<p>I cannot create my guild forums. When I click the large, friendly button to create the forums, I get :</p><p>An Error Has Occurred </p><hr /><p> Please use your browser's back button and try again. Reason: query did not return a unique result: 2 </p><p>What can I try next?</p>
a note on permissions. My guild leader set me up as admin on the new forums, but yet I do not see any way to administer the forums. I do see the moderator options, but not the admin ones. Is this permission getting missed? Or am I missing something?

Looks like their script doesn't understand the variable it's supposed to be referencing, since the link is actually coming up as "<b>http://eq2players.station.sony.com/guilds/$link.getLink(</b>"...which is funky, and, of course, totally borked.</p><p>As leader of my guild, I see a link above the guild forums that says "Guild Leader Control Panel," which is where I can set moderation / admin permissions. I would assume that if you're an admin, you would see something similar...but since I'm practically a guild of one, I can't really test it. :-/</p>
ok, I'm not seeing that link, so maybe it isn't properly using the admin group permission setting (or it can only be done by the guild leader, which is rough to put all of that on 1 person)

<p>ok, I just know that as a guild we need the ability of others to be able to administer the site than just the guild leader. It allows us to break up some of the monotonous tasks so we can all play more <img src="/smilies/8a80c6485cd926be453217d59a84a888.gif" border="0" alt="SMILEY" /></p>

(not intuiative on how to go about that by the way). I then set the access permissions on each forum topic (member, moderator etc...) which are all off by default. After doing each of these, still anyone else but me gets access denied.
hmmm, that's odd... I know it worked for us (we were getting the same thing until I got our GL to do the permissions).

I got this same error and tried logging out and back into my station acct. from the link at the top of the page. Other than a strange problem with a security warning pop-up that I had to OK several dozen times, once I finished logging back into my station account I was able to continue to the forums, and have not had a problem getting to my guild forums since. Hopefully this will help some of you.

Ok guys, this is probably a completely stupid question but I have searched and asked for help to no avail. I am one of the guild founder/leaders and have just taken over the guild website from another who is MIA. I have managed to figure everything out (I think) except for these darn forums. My problem is: I am trying to create new forums, I create them fine ... but they are completely empty. No topic, no ability to create one, no ability to post. I have tried looking into permissions but I cant get this to work even if I tick all the boxes (so EVERYONE can see and post) and I seem to have access to all groups. What am I doing wrong? Has someone got a really good FAQ that is up to date? Please help, this is driving me nuts! Thanks!

<p>Well here are a few things I have found with my guild forums... 1. The new post button is not showing (you can find it in the lower or Upper left hand corner to the left of EverQuest II Players >> Guild Name >> Forum Name, the mouse should change to a hand) 2. "Email Poster", "Quote Poster" and "Edit Post" (in that order) are also invisible and found in the upper right had corner of the post, same thing the mouse should change to a hand. 3. If you edit old posts (from before forum move) they suddenly add odd html commands (<dir> </dir>; <span></span> etc) 4. I can add notes to forum names but I can'y change/edit the forum names. (i.e. change Raid Events to Raid and Guild Events). </p><p>Ok here is something new I have found (that is drying me crazy)</p><p>5. Forum formatting is a joke. I created a post for 5h food and drink in MS Office Word 2003 got it looking like I wanted it. Past it into the forums, add color here and there and submit. Suddenly everything is center justified and spaces between one paragraph and the other are gone. Click edit, keep the stuff I want centered there, move the rest to luft justified, add the paragraph breaks back in and submit. Now 1/2 of the post is left justified, the other half is center justified, paragraphs are now running together. Delete the entire post, copy from word to notepad, remove any extra spaces and past back into a new post. As long as I do not edit the justification or font color/boldness it looks fine. As soon as I change any of those things the post goes crazy.</p>
