Hi all senior Illusionists, i have a question for you.

I understand that i wont be able to beat all other classes all the time, so i am going to focus on other cloth casters. I am going to be a Mage Hunter. Or an Auror as its called in Harry Potter :-p

If i understand it correctly, the Wis AA line gives me more resistances against magic. Does that mean each point in wisdom gives me increased resistance to divine, fire, cold etc, and in that case in which Ratio?

So my plan is as follows.

1. Get all the Sta points in sta line ( just the first bubble ) so i get the HP to live through the first slice that brigands and asassins Cut off me and there are a lot of them. 2. Go over to Wis line and max it all the Way down. 3. Move over to int line and work my way down it.

Is this a wise plan? I do not understand the Illusionist AA´s really, so a little help with that would be appreciated if i should get something there instead of all in the Enchanter tree.

Br

Sinnes Venekor Server

I'm definately not a complete expert at PvP, but i can tell you this

Increasing the resistances on the wisdom line increases ALL your magic resistances by 100 per rank. As in, each time you put a point in it, your heat, cold, poison, etc, are all raised by 100. How much will that benefit you? That depends on what gear you have. For example, if right now you have 500 cold resist, increasing it by another 800 through AAs will be a HUGE increase (about 25% more resistance or so). But if you already have 5000 cold resist, another 800 will only buy maybe a 5% increase. Weather you need the upgrade or not is up to you.

Im not the one to tell you if your plan is good or not, but i do advise you to keep up spellshield against those mages =)

Also i read in other posts i need Wisdom to make my stuns land and dont get resisted.

The Silence spell, seems to be my weapon of choice in the Hunt for Dark Wizards. Stifle them and take their mana=Sweet. I consider putting some points in the penetration line of the Illusionist tree to spec even more in Silence. Then i need to create some cool macro like /Shout"SILENCE FOOL!" when i use it :-p

I am only lvl 17 sofar and the spellshield comes at 50+ right? But im looking forward too it i can tell you that

Br

Sinnes Venekor Server

OK, i must tell you of my sweet first Auror battle.

Got jumped by a Fury when im out harvesting. Im lvl 22 hes at 24. I heard a lot about furys, that they are incredibly strong etc, so i got really exited Resisted his first Nuke. Then me and my pet started Power Draining him with overwhelming Silence, dot-ing and Nuking Some.

Finally, powerless, he tried to run up to me and melee me, so i rooted him, ran off some meters and watched him go down from all the DOT damage we had going on him.

Hohoho. After Maxing out sta ive started in the illusionist tree btw to get my Overwhelming Silence to the Max.

That is the strongest spell ive seen in the game pvp wise i think.

Br

Sinnes
