Well I've been spec'd for DPS for several months now. I normally parse around 700-900 in raids for encounters. But I've seen several SKs roaming around here that parse way more than that. Would anyone care to share the order in which they cast CAs and spells.

Its not really the use of the CAs, its mostly all about the group setup, and proc-items or whatever. 700-900 is what i normally do in groups, and thats also what you do in raids if there is no brigant for debuffs and you don't have uber procing-items, and don't are buffed with any damage buffs.

<p>A lot of it has to do with group makeup, and whats on your raid. If you have no brigand and warlocks for instance, that will bring your DPS down as there's no one else to debuff the disease (I think dirges and defilers debuff disease too).</p><p> Also the name of the game for your DPS spec (at least for me) is proc proc proc. Look for everything and anything that procs something and get your int up as much as you can.</p><p>Config yourself for the group your put in too. If they sit you in the melee group and your specing a battle mage setup, your not going to do as well. Another thing is that making macros do abilities are quite popular with people now, this method however sucks for a shadowknight, you need not to que your spells when your attacking, you have to allow a small break so you can get your autoattack in. </p><p> Also gear, got to get the gear.</p><p> Hope that helps some.</p>

<p>hey,</p><p> Yea i thought about that later on after i posted. I am Int 8-4-8, Sta 8-4-8, and Str 4-4-2. I crit well, dont have to many adornments for disease procs though, i only adorned for mit and int on all my items, or it was a power proc or just the +100 power on rings and helm. I dont have a fabled helm or boots, MOA is the only fabled jewelry i have. I have the Two hander out of labs along with the draconic deflector and the hammer with no proc on it, sorry i cant remember the names doh! But there fabled weapons and sheild. I should get my claymore thursday if all goes right. My second DT raid is then! Well thanks for help if you can!</p>

Well i put 8 in spell crits and 8int to bump my int up, i have int adornments on dps gear, and mit adornments on MT gear. i also put 8 point in str i think, to bump that up a little since melee is based on str. i have relic and blackcoat, and scourge gear so i do have int on most of my fabled gear. as far as putting 4 further into int line, i crit enough with heals, didnt seem to important. thanks for imput !

Proc gear, focus gear, clicky gear, adornments, spell casting order and what to cast and what not to cast plays a big part. Example dont cast Death Circle if its only one mob. Its a waste of the casting time when you could have done just as much with 1-2 auto attack swings in that time. Just cause the button says its ready dosent mean you should use it. Those of you putting points into just just the pure int aa are wasting points. An aditional 32 int isnt worth it. Those 4 points could be put to alot better use in either haste or melee crits. There is alot more int gear for us now than previously and its not hard at all to cap int at 1070 on raids even in mostly Kos gear. Once your int hits cap with DM running stop with the int. it will come with time. Work on your str , stam and agi more. Str 4 6 8 4 2 Stam 4 4 1 Int 4 4 8 5 in all Reaver 5 in Decay Sacrilege, FD and 4 in Siphon might for more hp and better reaver healing.
