Mystic forums need more activity!

<p>I have to say that for as long as I can remember the Mystic class forum has been as dead as.......a dead thing left by the side of the road to rot.</p><p>People! We have to band together and make it appear that the mystic is a fun class to play. Therefore I am suggesting the following:</p><p>1. Every Mystic in the game HAS to make at least one post on this forum every week or else he will be forced to move to Temple Street to live while remaining KOS to FP guards.</p><p>2. We must make it our life's aim to have SOE completely nerf all abilities of defilers as well as allowing only Fey to become members of that accursed order.</p><p>3. Why is the worldwide Mystic channel almost completely silent? No-one ever says anything on it, no-one listens. What do we need to make it more popular? Strippers. As of this weekend the Mystic chat channel will be host to Pro celebrity strippers.</p><p>4. To show everyone just how uber we are as a class henceforth we will only ever raid naked.</p><p>5. Any Mystics NOT adding their response to this thread will have all SoW priviledges rescinded.</p>

Im as guilty of it as anyone, but honestly, many of us have lost the will to fight the good fight. Many of the problems we have now are minor compared to what we have endured in the past.  Further, most of these problems have been rehashed hundreds of times with no attention to the issues from the developers.  After months and months of this, we can really only be expected to take this to mean that they think these are non-issues. And if we can't get them to even respond to the issues we have been clamoring about forever, why bother?

Actually, I've noticed all of the forums with noticably lower post counts since the change.  I think the forum conversion is the real cause for lower post counts.

Any Mystics NOT adding their response to this thread will have all SoW priviledges rescinded.</p></blockquote><p>No no!  Don't rescind my SOW... gah its already 10% less effective.  55% runspeed is soo noticably slower than what my 65% was.  (Of course still have to wait ages for NPC's to spawn in the cities, SOE is still way too slow for faster machines)</p><p>Your post about this forum being so slow has me worried that my upcoming post question might take ages to get anwsered lol...</p><p>I'm hoping to get feedback on what others like for AA, as it seems to be very diverse. I recently respecced to go the cure route, since I do more cures than heals with my Monk/Mystic 2box duo.</p><p>Herbal Expertise 8ranks, plus Cure wards = uber curing  yes? </p>

<p>I had a friend of my start a defiler and betray over to a mystic, only to say .. [Removed for Content] is up with the mystic AA tree, and betrayed back.  That should say something.</p><p>As for a mystic, which I started day one, I enjoy my clas but we fill a very strange hole right now that now one really understands.  Our AA's in the EoF tree are a joke.  To explain what I mean is that the Res line is really cool, but completely useless since I know of no healers who res during fights in which the line would be useful.  The cure line makes me laugh every time I see it since its a complete waste of points for the overall effect.  </p><p>I have not played with it recently, so if I am mistaken please let me know, but its something like 150 to 200 point ward vs specific damage types for 5 points in it.  If they turned this around and made it so that our wards and heals had the cure effect to then, this would be useful.</p><p>As for everything else, I am fairly happy with.  I have just come to accept that I am not ment to be a primary healer.  We heal for less then most healers, we have hidious cast times and recaster timers.  But you put me in the group with a second healer, and our healing abilities turn into impressive things.  I went into HoF with a group recently and struggled being the only healer but added a warden to the group and we walked though that zone without a problem.  I talked to the warden afterwards and he complemented me on doing a great job because he had the easiest run through the zone he had ever had.</p><p>The epiphany I had about the mystic is that the healing capabilities we have are based on the fact that our healing is based on damage prevention through our debuffs and not direct.  I can single handedly drop a mobs damage output by roughly 60% with all 6 of our primary debuffs on.  With that in context, our heals are EXTREMELY powerful, but it requires us to have time to get our debuffs in.  That is why I state we are great secondary healers.  Another healer gives us time to do just that without sacrificing the safety of the party.  </p>

<p>I'm getting on the Mystic train!  I've been back ingame for about 2 weeks now(after a long long hiatus) and I've tried a bunch of classes to the teens-20 and I'm going with the Mystic.  </p><p> So I'll be a Mystic newbie for a bit but I'm glad to be part of the club!!</p>

I'm also a n00b when it comes to Mystics. I have just levelled a Kerra Mystic to 20 and will continue playing him as part of a two-box duo. His partner is a Ratonga Swashbuckler. Not a n00b to healers though since I have a level 70 Warden, a level 46 Fury and a level 40 Inquisitor. Fun to try out lots of different kinds of healers <img src="/smilies/3b63d1616c5dfcf29f8a7a031aaa7cad.gif" border="0" alt="SMILEY" />

I have been a Mystic now since I started and I have to say I love the class. <img src="/smilies/3b63d1616c5dfcf29f8a7a031aaa7cad.gif" border="0" alt="SMILEY" /> Took me a while to get the hang of PVP but I know to hunker down and cast all my wards and debuffs until the poor dears get tired and then I put them to sleep permanently. <img src="/smilies/8a80c6485cd926be453217d59a84a888.gif" border="0" alt="SMILEY" /> Yes our  AA lines suck in places but  we have good spells and  I work around the  problems. By the way I like my dog dog I cast prophecy on the poor little mite and he lives much longer.
