collection quest rewards

I'd like to see most of collection quest rewards are made tradeable, or at least have an NPC that sells the no-trade ones (you can buy it back if you accidently lost them like HQ items.) One of the best earring for a caster is the mystical orb of invoker from a KoS collection quest. It was bugged when KoS just came out (the proc was actually a DD that fires when actived, and it did not do any damage.) I completed the quest before the bug was fixed and the item was useless with the bug (which I didnt know it'll be changed to a proc) so I sold it to NPC. After a few weeks, it became one of the most porwerful caster earring that even a poor-geared character can easily have. But my wizard with almost all fabled, has no way to get it back <img src="/smilies/9d71f0541cff0a302a0309c5079e8dee.gif" border="0" alt="SMILEY" />

In the meantime, did you try petitioning? A GM should be able to verify that you completed the quest, and deduct the vendor cost from your inventory and replace it. They may tell you no, but it's been done before.
