We had a blast going through Unrest yesterday - what an awesome zone. It has the wit of Enchanted Lands - lots of subtle jokes in it...some not so subtle.

My favorite is "The Sadistic Bartender" LOL...he drops a recipe called "Halasian Ice Brew" that you make with regular components and with whiskey you can harvest from a bottle on the bar (harvesting whiskey was a new one for me....). It makes an awesome 5hr. 30ish minute drink that gives boost to STR, STA, and INT for 22, and power regen by 118.

Does anyone know if there is another recipe that increases WIS and AGI? Or is this it? And if so....here's a vote for adding WIS to that mix too. I don't want to feedback it if someone knows that there is another recipe there that I just need to get.

Thanks in advance if you have any knowledge of this. This zone is going to keep us occupied for some time, I think...we didn't have time to do the whole thing yesterday, and I'm looking forward to it today.

Would like to get this one but my provisioner is only Adventure level 12 so doubt he can make it in.

I didn't get to test the provioner recipes, but the raid-drop recipes were tradable with the Fabled component being no trade (you need to use the Commission system). Nice stuff Edit: Typos. My Tendonitis is giving me fits today.

The bartender is 72^^^ Named, and with all the other mobs to get to him, I don't think your 12 would make it to him for the drop. I won it cause no one else in the group was a provisioner..and can't remember if it's 'no trade', but think it is. It's a level 70 recipe for a provisioner though.

You might be able to get a group to clear to him while you wait outside the zone, let you in when he is killed and get the drop, but not sure if that would work or not.

The whiskey that you can gather is tradeable though..so if you could get the recipe once, your higher level adventurers can get the components. The recipe makes 5 drinks if pristine, 3 if not..1 (I'd imagine) if crude.

The drink was tradable on Test.

Good deal then since only raiders can get the components, there is no market tiering threat. This is exactly what I was looking for in fabled crafting. Now, just need to make a deal with the raiders. Going to be a bit harder since it's not like t5 and I'm on Lucan, not exactly raid central. You going to post what you've made?

I don't mind that the components are raid mob drops, but the recipies should have been gained with something TS related. Like for example getting faction with TS quests and then be able to get the recipies. It should have been 'hard' work from a tradeskiller to get the recipies and 'hard' work from adventurers to get the raws and not just 'hard' work from adventurers to get both. Its the same with the DoF recipies, you can gain faction with adventure quests/adventuring to be able to buy rare TS recipies. But with tradeskilling you can't get faction with the merchants. I guess the sky would be falling if you can get something worthfull only through tradeskilling where no adventuring would be included

I have the recipe for the halasian icebrew and enough components to make 30 drinks.

Where do I make them? I tried in the kitchen of Unrest but I can only examine the stove and not use it. I tried in a tradeskill instance and could not make them either.

When we tested them on Test we used the stations in a regular Tradeskill instance. What's happening? Or not happening? Have you cleared your filters?

I just checked again. Sure enough it worked. I think I may have been trying to create the drink with a full inventory.

I was wondering what the 5/5 meant when I scribed the recipe in the book. A recipe with charges? Sure enough. I made 25 (5 combines) and it poofed from my book.

I have killed the barkeep 3 times and had the recipe drop once. If it's kinda rare we will most likely see a flood of Halasian Whiskey raws within a month or so. The price on Halasian Icebrew will probably remain high.

It makes 5 drinks if 'pristine' (4th bar), 3 if 'regular' (3rd bar), I'd assume 2 if shaped (2nd bar) and 1 if crude, but not sure on the shaped and crude info. I did blow one and only make it regular and got 3 drinks, and it does say it will make 5 if pristine, but haven't made them to that yet, since I've only made the recipe once.

And I agree with Calthine...not worth 1p for the whiskey..LOL. It also seems that you can gather 2 whiskeys per instance before the bottle despawns and you can't get anymore, or at least that's what happened last night.

I do get 'oo's and ahh's' from the drink itself, but I'm pretty sure no one would pay 1p for one. I'll never find out since my group consists of some very thirsty STR and INT consumers, so all drinks I make are for them. (this reflects good useage of the raws, since it's certain I would not have obtained them without this group...and I really like the synergy of that .. )

Edit: and oooo am I glad to know that about the recipe having charges. I'll use more care when handing them out. I have seen other items from that instance that have charges too...one similar to conjuror's CoH with 5 charges, and a clockwork thing (not sure what it does) also with charges.

We did see the recipe drop again - I'll remember to get it as often as it does drop, since it goes away..thanks for that info.

As I am generally in pickup groups, it would be nice if the Unrest drink recipe made 6 charges for pristine, rather than 5 ......

The main problem I have with the "charges" on the recipe is that it makes the product prohibitively expensive. The whiskey is easy enough to get, but the recipe being a rare drop means that unless you loot it yourself you're going to pay around a plat for it. Even assuming that you harvest all your components yourself (the xegonberries are around 1g each and the whiskey is currently around 40g on Guk), the base cost per unit is about 21g. Nobody's going to pay that for a drink; it's hard enough to make any profit on regular T7 5h drink. And for those who can't harvest their own whiskey, forget about it. Perhaps the market will even out once more recipe books enter the economy, but being consumable it's unlikely the price will go down much. That makes these effectively a novelty item and not something on which a worthwhile profit can be made. One thing I haven't seen the devs working on provisioning have much of an understanding of is what players are reasonably willing to pay for consumables and how that affects our ability to craft at a profit.

Just found out that..if you have the recipe book scribed, you can have an unscribed book in your inventory waiting to be used when the scribed one runs out. I don't recall it saying it's 'lore', but you can't have more than 1 of the unscribed books on you at any given time.

With regard to gtting the drink AFTER the instance. The NPC that drops it is "The Sadistic Bartender"...fitting that he'd make you wait.

On Najena the prices have already dropped to recipe from about 70g, and whisky 20g. But even taking 1plat/40g I make it:

1 plat for the recipe

40g x 5 = 2 plat for 5 bottles

1g x 50?(dont have the recipe in front of me) for Xegonberries = 50g

Say another 10g on fuel and other more common ingredients

Total is 3.6 plat, for 25 charges (assuming all pristine) That puts cost price at 14.4g. Which is certainly the most expensive drink around, but that does work out at <3g/hr for the min/maxers who demand nothing but the best. (Guilty on my tank, but my other chars aren't so picky) Personally I don't sell it, but give it away to those in the group (normally guild) when we do Unrest. 1-2 drinks if no recipe dropped, 3 if it did, which everyone seems happy with. I haven't bothered doing the maths on it, but don't think I'm cheating anyone too badly. Drinks are on broker for 30g+ each currently, but I can see that dropping. I don't mind the idea of recipe charges, but would prefer it was a few more (or at least a multiple of 6) - as otherwise the market for non-Unrest drinks would be threatened. I think the developers are reasoning that as only enough whisky drops per run for 54hrs play, divide that by 6 give you 9hrs per player, the zone takes almost 2hrs even in a good group, so taking other zones and raiding into account it won't be the only drink all T7 players use. As regards making a profit with provisioning - My suspicion is that most provisioners who sell in any quantities macro/bot.

It's not near the pain it used to be to make mass quantites, since there are no subs and you get two on Pristine.

Personally I am very disapointed with this recipe. When a friend gave me the recipe and one bottle of the whiskey, I was really pleased because I thought that at last, Sony had done a small bit of development for the provisioner. First special recipe that I can remember. And then, as one person said "poof" the recipe disappeared!

On my server, the recipes were selling for over a plat each at the weekend and now there aren't any at all. The whiskey is an incredible bargain at between 40g - 45g and xegonberries are not to be miseed at anything between 50s and 75s. Plus the 12g for the kindling of course! If I want to stand any chance of selling mine before the person with 84 of the things for sale in a veteran reward box sells hers, I need to sell at 21g or 22g - can't remember which.

Other tradeskillers don't have disappearing recipes and some seem to have a steady stream of new recipes for very saleable items. What have we provisioners done to you Sony? Oh and by the way, I do recognize that the huge pressure on broker prices is not always down to you but you seem to do little to help. Collectables and Xegonberries are by far the most profitable items on the broker - least that's how it feels!

Sorry but I am yet again really fed up with being a provisioner!
