Have 6 hours til i'm off work and I can't wait. Did anyone get a chance to log in and test to see if those hawk changes went live or if you can adorn claymore rewards considering I didn't see either in this morning update notes. Also didn't see them list the requirement of 22 points in a line to do the final ability.

I'm so ready for it too. I put my Ranger in retirement for the last couple of weeks waiting for this update and logging in every 10 minutes just to make arrows. My quiver is finally full of summoned arrows and hopefully I won't feel plat leaking from my pocket every time I run through an instance.

I logged in for a little bit this afternoon to check out the changes. Here's a few quick notes:

Arrow comparison:

makeshift adamantine arrow +67 piercing

adamantine fieldpoint arrow +74 crushing, +5 range, 50% hit bonus

adamantine bodkin arrow +111 piercing 10% hit bonus

adamantine broadhead arrow +148 slashing, -5 range, -5% hit bonus

Those seem like some pretty significant advantages to crafted arrows. I'm not sure if this will actually save me much plat. I bought a couple stacks of each to test out in tonight's raid.

There were thousands of each crafted arrow on the broker by the time I logged in going for about 24g per stack.

The 22 point in AA line was not mentioned in the notes, but was indeed in-game. 24 points total to max a line. I read somewhere in the notes that the current AA's were 'refunded', but they still need to be used within the same tree (can't use extra pred aa's in ranger tree). Still need 4 points in each row to enable the next skill.

Edit to add some additional info....

Those +dmg and hit bonuses are the same when inspected on my Fury, so they appear to be static modifiers (not tied to STR or any ranged skills)

And prices are falling...only 18g/stack now. Good news.

Now I just need to get my ranger's woodworking level up to make T6 ammo so I can throw away all the summoned garbage that's filling my quiver now.

Now to find a good harvest spot for T6 and eventually T7. I am so glad I still have all my tradeskill exp bonus potions cause I'm gonna need em

Oh and I need to get my Blade's faction up so I can buy the lvl 51-59 tradeskill scrolls. . . unless I am mistaken and they are on the vendor outside the TS instances.

Heh, did Unrest last night, actually had to stop summoning arrows... That said there was a lot of non-fight time due to puzzle solving Great zone, pity that some mobs at the end were invisable and no Ranger hat dropped
