I personally looked for INT gear and put my first AA's into the INT line.

For gear you'll want INT/STA imo. Most important thing in AAs is to go 4-4-8 INT on the crusader tree for spell crits.

I didn't bother too much with the STA line (yet) myself. I figured 2 factors:

1) I have blood pool now (which is sorta kinda like an extra 1230 HPs)

2) Focused more into STR/INT for larger mana pool, bigger hits on my life taps.... which in turn = more HPs.

as is said, go 4 4 8 in the int line first as far as gear goes your primary three stats are str/int/stam there is a sticky that explains how int and str effect damage, basically int is *slightly* better at helping your damage than strength, stamina is hp, hp is life. if I were to rate their importance at low levels i would say str/stam/int (you will get int from your aa line in the end I try to do a balancing act with int being slightly prefered. also depends on if you are tankin or dpsing, and whether you pvp

yes, and on that note, INT is much more difficult to jack up high than STR. You will find that with small effort and group buffs, it's possible to break 1k STR later down the road. I don't think it's anywhere near as easy getting INT over 1k.
