What is the best way to get SP at 70? I been doing that quest you get from the Freeport Militia, go kill 15 solo mobs in bonemire, and you get like 8000 SP. That sure take a long time to get any serious SP.

I was thinking perhaps there are group level 60 ish that a 70 could solo and get a whole bunch more in less time? Anyone know if this is possible or do you have to grind 50 of these solo ones?

Can you kill Qeynos guards for SP and Freeport faction??

The "best" way to get SP will get you many different answers, here's mine: 1. Do Heritage Quests - check your favourite website and do a HQ that you have not yet completed (and specifically ones that are grey to you now as you mentioned soloing) 2. City Tasks/Writs - grind them out and rack up the points 3. Crafting writs - not for everyone, but they add points too 4. Kill stuff - always get a chance of status point loot, even if they are gray 5. Mad'jul faction tasks - if you haven't done the faction quests then there's a chance for SP there

Not sure about Freeport, but in Qeynos there are two seperate level 67 writs for Basilisks in Bonemire that net just under 17k at level 70 and can be solo'd by a Guardian in about 20 minutes including stopping to harvest ore and collect shinies. If you can stack a couple of slightly lower level writs that would greatly increase your status gained.

I believe that Raid mobs give Status as well... I know that killing them gives Guild status, so I would assume that they give personal as well. However I also recall the old saying of what Assume can do....

The best way to get status is always from level 60-64 grinding scaleborn-sentry tasks from all 4 factions. At 65 as freeport char you can take basilisks, spiders and the treants in bonemire, also make sure you have Call to Ro for faster travel

Raids give the best status possible, together with HQ's. Only difference, you run out of the latter.

Sure, not all raid mobs give status, but after about 6-7 months of raiding I'm at 6.5-7milion SP, bought my GL60 title (2.5m) and horse (400k) and got a 5-room appartment (a good 250k).

Another thing you could do, if you have some coin to spend, is to buy up stacks of status items (amulets, relics, scrying stones and documents) from the broker and turn them in at their respective faction (writ-giver) merchants or in a MD court.

For quick writs, I take: -Basilisk Spikes, Academy of Arcane Science -Ravasect Thinning, Seafury Buccaneers -Fetidthorn Limbs, Dismal Rage -Armor Improvements, Freeport Militia Those are all solo mobs (well, the Ravasect are solo ^ mobs) and my Assassin can easily finish all four writs and be heading back to Freeport in about 20 minutes, if I REALLY push it. (Usually I take an hour to do a set.) Writs really add up. Add that to HQs, raiding, and the status loot from humanoid mobs, and my Assassin hasn't wanted for SP in over a year.

I can't believe how many people are suggesting HQ's for gaining status "quickly", which is what the OP is asking about. HQ's give the worst amount of status for time invested. Your best option for speed is to grind writs. As mentioned above, get one from each of the 4 factions and head to the bonemire. That should net you roughly 35K status in probably 20-30 minutes worth of work.

These mobs are interspersed with groups of 3 one up heroics, which don't move and are pretty easy to avoid. Bring along a healer and I think you could do this four pack of writs pretty efficiently and get 32k personal status.

There is no good way to get status. If the solo ones give 8k, I would like to see a serious writ that like requries you to clear the Obilisk instance or somethign with a group but give 30k.

Though the heritage quests only give 40k or so.

I was trying to get Count (lvl 60 guild title) but the price is 3.5 plat and 2.8million status.

See I did most of my 'writs' when I was leveling... back in the day when guild xp was 1/# of members (up to 32) and there was guild xp decay, and writs gave you negative faction (if you did library of arcane writ you got +150arcane science faction, and -150 to the other 3. So for the first few hundred writs I did, I ended up with 0 faction for the 4 types in Freeport (due to me taking all 4 and doing them all while I was out questing). Only later did they change it to +150 for whatever you are doing it for, AND started displaying the factions at all.

Oh well... at 8000 per writ, I can get all 4 into 'amiable' by the time I hit 2.8mil (only have 900k right now, but did buy 2 horses with status in the past)

There is a great way to gain guild status. Get a transmuter to 350 skill. Get all 9 tradeskillers to level 70. Buy Tier VII treasured items from the broker for 9 - 12 plat and transmute. Make one of each Tier VII powder adornments and sell for 1.5 - 2 plat each. Since you'll have an excess of powders, make some enchanted adamantine ore and sell it for 1.25 plat each. Use the oodles of cash you earn to buy guild status items from the broker. These are the relics, amulets, scrying stones and sealed documents. I'm not being facetious, because this is exactly what I do. I have little else to spend plat on. I've got all Masters, the best in broker sold gear and am almost complete in broker sold collection items. I earned 180,000 guild status points yesterday morning this way. I'm over 1.5 million total guild status. If SoE would update their leader boards, I'd probably be 3rd on my server (currently listed as 5th).

Natturabi has it.

Do those 4 city writs on the island of the guardians. You CAN solo the mobs--as a 70 paladin I can take any single mob, or any single group of mobs (up to 5)--beyond that I wind up in trouble.

However, the fast way is to go with a group, and in 15 min of AE action all of you will have earned 32K status points. Those are AE mobs so just pull, slaughter, repeat.

Your "group" can be just two--me and a conj can get through that pretty quickly.
