Did you all see the post in test about how the nameds in unrest will be unstunnable and unmezzable (obviously un-charmable)

Why do they continue to do this to us?

I just hope unrest is as difficult as Nizara or mistmoore castle(minus the network lag), maybe even harder. I'm seriously tired of lame instances that offer no challenge aside from the first or 2nd run through the zone. Sony needs to implement dynamic zones where mobs spawn in random places or zone layout is dynamic. Would give new meaning to dungeon crawl.

Welcome to the estate of Unrest!!

Coercers need not apply!

*** Unrest ***

The seven loot dropping named in Unrest can no longer be stunned, stifled, dazed, or mezzed.

EDIT: http://forums.station.sony.com/eq2/...topic_id=349504

Yeah, I wonder if this is the opposite of Nizara where in Nizara you really needed a enchanter but in here an enchanter becomes extra useless. If it's not controllable... doesn't that make the battle a burn fest?

Not that coercers flame much, but let me begin by saying I've never played Test and don't know what Unrest is about in EQ2. The note says the seven loot-dropping named can't be stunned, mezzed, etc. Unless there are only 7 mobs in there, wouldn't we still be useful getting to the named? If they are encounters, couldn't we also mez their buddies? Use a pet from the zone against them? I agree the named themselves may be complete burn jobs now, but I don't think we really need to overreact and pretend we're not helpful or useful at all in the zone.

Or is looking at the glass as half full wrong now?

I'd rather bring my ranger. Zones like OoB and CoV are a snore job for me since all I do is go dps anyways.

I'd Almost be all for the idea of some named mobs Being tagged Epicx1, but then we'd be siting back going how come Conj's can solo epic x1 and we cant because there immune 1/3 of the fight to are CC

The change is pretty much a non-issue with the exception of the really annoying repopping mez/stun/stifle/root ignoring shade at the end. He doesn't even give immunity messages either, just ignores the effects. You'll get tired of him fast. Either way, it's not worth the drama in this thread.

To your point though, I'm always amazed at how many people start griping about changes in general before they even experience first hand. Lat

Let me clarify; stuff I wanted to charm, I couldn't. After a while, I gave up trying Chillispike@Splitpaw wrote:
nscragg wrote:
......when we can't even charm in Unrest.

You can charm there, but only slow movinging mobs lol. for example Doomed Visitiors are not charmable. The enraged kitties from the bar area do a decent amount of melee damage - with master domination I was seeing 700-2500 hits.
