ATI/AA

Ok I have read a couple of the ATI AA threads but I some of the info conflicted.  Is there a one sure fire way to force AA on the ATI cards?  I don't want to have to alt/enter out or any squirrely thing like that every time I zone.  Can anyone make a be all end all guide for ATI AA activation? Thanks guys.
