<p>Do all the bows look the same? or are there any others besides Rain Caller that have a different look?</p>

<p>Lets be honest here. There is only so much you can do with a curved stick and some string. </p><p>Raincaller shares a graphic similar to the Longbow of Curruption. (with a different particle effect)</p><p>Sarnak and Bazkul have different colored particle effects.</p><p>Ichorstrand (its the only shortbow Ive ever owned) has oozing bubbles on it.</p><p>All of them different, yet basicly the same... again.. what can you really do with graphicly with a stick and a string.</p>

<p>All fine and dandy, but you may have noticed that as far as weapons, armor and general graphics go.. EQ2 leans more to a realistic side of things, so theres a good chance you wont see a bow thats overtly huge, much like we dont see overtly huge armor.</p><p> Im not saying I wouldnt like cooler bow graphics, but if they start making graphics like that for bows, its going to happen with armor and other weapons as well. I cant see them adding in anything like the first bow, but the last 3 very easily make the transistion to EQ2 without being too off the wall. </p><p> At the moment however, and to the best of my knowledge.. there isnt a single bow that even remotely looks like any of those. The most unique bow model is Raincaller / LBoC.</p>

I am sure most of you have seen the clubs made from a skull still attached to a vetrabrae column wielded by some vampires in Castle Mistmore and the gouls in Loping plains.  I have never seen the Star Darkened Longbow and I am sure when i do it will be disapointed but I felt the perfect look for such a bow would be a recurve bow made from two spinal colums and a glowing red haze.  Just what I saw a vampire lord dropping.

A nice graphic on a bow can look very cool.  But what would be cooler, is if the RNG for legendary and fabled bows was upped a little to be more consistant with all the other weapon drops.

This is the Wind-Shaped Bow that drops off Sarik the Fang in EH.  I got server disco on it last week.  I think it has a pretty cool graphic. <img src="http://www.gregsplace.com/images/eq2_000000.jpg" border="0">

Well, to be honest, I love my Raincaller. At least its diffrent from most of the other bows. Not hard to obtain really and it kicks butt. Would use it all the time if the chanters didn't whine about 'immunity timers'. =p That Wind-scar one reminds me of a bow I got from LP (Lyrech riverbow I think). And has anyone got a picture of the Torn Ligament Longbow from Unrest? I'm hoping it has at least a semi-unique look. Most stuff from there seems to have particle effects of one type or another.

I wish I could put bow ribbons on my bow.  Pretty pink ones and then tie daisies to my arrows.  I could be an arrow flinging Hippy... o wait already doin that!

Torn ligament looks just like a raincaller...but with a yellow glow. I'll see if I can get a pic of it later on.

I find it odd the Torn Ligament looks like the RainCaller but the icon in the weapon slot and in the examine window looks like the Wind Shaped bow. Plus the "glow" effect on the Torn Ligament doesnt even overlay the actual bow most the time and makes for a horrible item graphic. I just wonder if the originally intended for the Torn to have the newer graphic as seen on the Wind Shaped. If anything they should fix the particle effect to actually make the bow look glowy instead of the outline of the bow glowing out of place from the actual weapon, right now it looks absolutely craptastic.

Unfortunately this is the only decent pic i could find of the Star Darkened lol.  I'll try to get a better one tomorrow of it actually out and on higher settings.  It has a little Red haze around it, but other than that nothing spectacular.  I was hoping for a model kind of like the raincaller, but not quite as rounded and with more of a bat wing at the end over a fin.  Maybe they will put a new graphic on it when they put a raid-useful proc on it<img src="/smilies/8a80c6485cd926be453217d59a84a888.gif" border="0" alt="SMILEY" /> <img src="http://img407.imageshack.us/img407/5851/stardeadii4.jpg" border="0"> Also, Final Fantasy XII has some pretty nice bow models that arent quite as elaborate as Lineage. I cant find any Screenys of those, if I can find where I put my scanner I might try to scan that page.  I would love to see more unique models all around, not just differences in color, and that can be done without going too extreme.

I have 3 fabled bows, the wurmslayer, bazkul, warbow.. All 3 have particles.. And nothing looks cooler than shooting purple skulls.
