I play EQ2 on my desktop PC most of the time. I've tweaked the settings to get the best possible game play. Most of the settings are maxed out since I'm using the latest computer hardware (Asus P5B Deluxe / Intel Core 2 Duo 6700 / 2GB Corsair DDR2 1066 (PC8500) / BFG GeForce 8800GTX - 768MB).

When away from home, I tend to have EQ2 withdrawels and will play EQ2 on my laptop. I have a Dell XPS M1710 laptop (gaming laptop). My Dell XPS M1710 laptop is not has "high end" as my desktop PC. When I loaded EQ2 on to my laptop, I copied all the EQ2 files from my desktop to my laptop. EQ2 on my laptop was identical to EQ2 on my desktop (game settings / UI / graphic settings / ect), which is how I wanted it.

However, because my Dell XPS M1710 is not as "high end" as my desktop, I had to lower the "graphical settings" in EQ2 on my laptop. I'm playing a more "balanced" graphical setting on my Dell XPS M1710 laptop.

Because I've had to change the "graphical settings" on my laptop to get the game to run smoothly, will the "graphical settings" also change to a more "balanced" graphical setting on my desktop PC when I log in to play EQ2 on my desktop PC?? Or, are the EQ2 settings computer specific (laptop vs desktop) and not server specific (changes stored to account on server)??

Thanks for the replies
