Hard to explain. You get a feel for it over time. I tried watching the graphics and the combat spam, but with lag and other distractions it's kind of hard. There is a rythm you get into once you get going though. And as far as over all DPS, the more arrows that hit the mob, the more damage you do. It can add up to an additional 200 DPS over spamming CAs.

Like the previous poster said, you have to have a feel for it. Normally as a 70 ranger, my haste self buffed is about 65% with my buff and gear haste. normally in raids i'm around 100+% which helps with the auto attack shots. I'll normally shoot off a CA to start like debilitating arrow, then wait for the autoattack, then follow with another ranged CA and do the same, i do that with most my CA"s except precise shot and snaring shot, which both have quick cast times and i can get both in between AA shots. When i move into my melee, i do 2 melee CA's between each auto attack shot, that's if your in the "sweet spot." Usually the timing works pretty well in this fashion. If you notice an Auto attack shot not land, just keep cycling through your CA's as if it did, sometimes you'll miss. So to sum it up, ranged CA, the auto attack, ranged CA, auto atack...............precise shot + snare shot, auto attack. then melee CA + melee CA, ranged auto attack.......etc etc etc. i can keep this goin for a long fight or for regular fights. Also take advantage of our Focus aim ability. that bad boy adds crit + haste + dps to every autoattack and crit to our CA's really helps with the timing of this strat that i use. hope this helps, i'm sure others have different points of views but this is what i do. oh yea, this is based off a longbow of 7sec normal delay and around 3 - 3.5sec hasted delay.
