I was wondering if anyone has screenshots of the stat displays on the current state of arrows on Test. I'm sure there are a lot of rangers itching to know the specifics of these changes. Does the /weapon display a change when different arrows are equipped or is there another way to calculate exactly how much added damage you are getting from the different types? What is the fuel and resource cost to carpenters for a stack of 100? Just a few questions that i can think of, i'm sure there are others. Thanks for any information you can give. Oh off subject but my chat channels were reset. Does anyone have the exact name of the world ranger channel?

The arrows on test don't have any stats on them. Instead, the arrows just have text that give the general nature about the arrow.

There's supposed to be 3 different types of arrows that woodworkers can make. My woodworker on Test is only level 23 or so, but so far he only has two new arrow recipees. He has the ones for Piercing and Slashing. Missing the Crushing arrow type.

I started a newbie ranger/woodworker hoping to look at these changes. Unfortunately I didn't realize that I would have no data to compare to. [<slaps forhead>]

Anyways, the arrows have no numbers. So it's not known how much damage increase the slashing arrows will provide.

Did some actual testing on the so-called "Test" server (after 30 minutes of harvesting, of course), here's what I found -

1.) Arrows are following the same logic as before. Slashing damage arrows turn all of the bow damage into slashing, crushing arrows cause all crushing dmg, etc.

2.) They work. The +20 dmg slashing arrows had my Bone Bow (14-42 dmg) slashing for 69.

3.) Weapon stats do not change. Only way you'll ever see any difference is thru the parse.

4.) Your auto-attack icon should go red when you're out of range of a target... but the game doesn't check the arrows. So auto-attack says you're in range, the arrow says you're not, and no arrows will fire. (So raiding rangers will have to watch for "Your target is too far away" during raids if using those arrows.)

5.) CA's are not affected by the arrow type at all. If your CA says it's in range, you're good to go there. (And, of course, CA's no longer suck up arrows.)

How did you determine those numbers? My WW on test made a batch of T2 arrows, but all they had was the text. No numbers or anything. And I couldn't find the Crushing version of the arrow recipee. I got two recipees at level 22 for arrows. What recipee is the Crush version?

Oh another thing. When you run out of arrows, you can't autoattack obviously, but neither can you use ranged CAs. I created a bug report. I asked why I can't use my ranged CAs with my bow if the CAs do not consume any ammo. Have to have at least 1 arrow in the ammo slot to use a CA, even though it won't consume the arrow. Seems counterintuitive to me.

So according to that screenshot our makeshift arrows do more piercing damage than the playermade arrows? Am i reading that right?

You're reading it right, but that's likely a display bug due to the fact that people are so much lower lvl than the item's they're examining.
