Items listed as Treasured and a Technical Question (Maybe)

I've been playing on and off again for about a month now and I've picked up several items that are listed as "Treasured", stuff like an orc's tooth, bixie thorax, some part of a treant, etc.  My question is what is this stuff good for?  I've examined it and all it says is that it could be used to learn more about whatever thing it came off of.  Is this just better vendor trash or is it actually worth something to me? Oh and one more question, when I type, I get a tone of repeated characters showing up in my chat line.  Like when I type "Thank you."  it looks like "Tttttttthank yooooou."  I have to go back and delete the extra characters and really makes for a pain when I'm trying to do some RP with people.  Is there some sort of keyboard sensitivity setting?  <img src="/smilies/3b63d1616c5dfcf29f8a7a031aaa7cad.gif" border="0" alt="SMILEY" />

<p>If it says it could be used to learn more about mob type xxxxx it is part of one of the Lore and Legend quests.  Since the last update these quests are now tied to your Master Strike ability (which you will get soon if you haven't gotten it already as a newer player.</p><p> All the info you could dream of regarding these quests can be found at <a href="http://www.eq2i.com/articles/Category:Lore_and_Legend_Quests" target="_blank" rel="nofollow">EQ2I</a>.  <-- clicky the link to go straight to it.</p><p>Also should mention that the next update will be adding a few more LL quests, so you'll want to keep your eyes peeled for those after the update too.</p>

<p>Regarding your keyboard issue... I don't know off the top of my head if there is a setting for that.  I usually only see that issue if I turn up the application priority too high and keyboard polling starts to be a problem.  (If you are adjusting app priority, that may be the issue.  If not.. sorry, dunno).  You might want to ask that question over in the technical help section of the forums. </p>
