Not sure where else to post this, so here goes: Our guild has been using guildportal.com for the last couple of months, and while it certainly make guild management a bit easier, I'm not 100% satisfied with it. Their screenshot management sucks, so I wrote my own. It's a hack, but it works for now. Further, while we've got the sub-domain tunaresgift.guildportal.com, I'd really rather have the actual domain (which I obviously would have to pay for), but guildportal doesn't support that, nor do they allow the site to be in an iframe would allow me to at least fake it. So my question is thus: Are there other EQ2 centric guild management/hosting sites out there? Or, does anyone know of a EQ2 centric guild management tool that I could host myself? Thanks! --Veet

Seriously? In this community of everyone's got an opinion about everything...nobody has any input on this subject at all? I've scoured the net, but it's impossible to find anything because it's all saturated with WoW.

A lot of guilds are hosting their own sites; Dragonfly CMS is extremely EQ2-friendly, with several modules and blocks made specifically for EQ2 guilds.

The CMS site is here: http://dragonflycms.org

You can see my guild site here (I have most of the EQ2-related blocks and modules running; I'm in the middle of upgrading my Roster Master to the newest version) : http://thehalasianempire.com

If you're willing to take the time (and money for a hosting package and/or domain name, if you don't know anyone you can piggyback off of), it will give you a lot of freedom and flexibility, versus being forced into a SOE- or Guild Portal-shaped box.

Thanks for the info. While I much appreciate it, sadly, what you've said echoes what little I've managed to come up with. (A commentary on the dearth of EQ2 web tools rather than your assistance) In fact, in my searches I ran across your very website. I have my own server space, and am a webdev by trade, so I can handle doing my own thing if I need to. I was just hoping that it wouldn't come to that. Until I decide to do so, I guess guild portal will have to do. Thanks again. --Veet
