had no clue what to write in the subject line...

As noticed maybe, i am going to do some scribing. As character i have got a Human.

But i have the follow problem:

I am level 14~15 scholar, just turned 15.. Though i have tried and tried but it took me several hours to go to 15 (continues scribing). I have tried to use the 2 differents "spells", to enhance your progress and durability.. But i can't perfect it.. it sucks ars, in the beginning i had fun doing the scribing, but now at this slow rate i can't help it to stop playing eq2 because of the lake interest for the scribing.. (hura for my GF )

Is there any help / post to find out how-to perfect my scribing skills? (as example, i had a spell to scribe. lvl 13 (was lvl 14 scholar). I failed to even craft anything, except for the rough turquoise...) this happend more then once.. I keep getting bonkers... And yes i use the durability upgrade thing. It is very strang i can use that all the time but my bar does get worse.. and when using the other one it doesn't make a difference.. So in my opinion something is wrong.. but what

So who can help me???!!!

What kills me is my provisioner hits level 4 combines every time, but my 25 sage cant get one single level 4 combine. App3 spells dont sell at all and I've just kinda given up. Only thing I can think of is to continue to make one of every spell until I ding my way to better buffs. /shrug

I hate my sage for this exact reason!

Maybe just going through a bad stretch of rolls...

Well here is how I normally do mine. As soon as the recipe begins I start my progress buffs right away (all 3) and then cycle through them each round. I don't mash them continuously as this, in my experience, leads to more failures. As soon as my durability gets close to dropping down to the third bar, I then start cycling through my durability buffs (usually all 3) until it gets back to halfway across the fourth bar. I would then start cycling through my progress bars again to finish up. Now what I do notice is that durability buffs tend to lead to more failures (by failures I mean losing more durability than gaining progress in each round) than normal even though success rate is the same.

I'm working on 3 scholars now (one at 23, another 15 or so) and have not had a single combine go below pristine (or level 4 or whatever).

1-10 just spam progress(I didn't worry about pristines here just getting to 10)

11-20 spam durability with progress counters(I made pristines 1 out of 3-5 times)

21-30 it gets a little easier(I maybe fail 1 out of 5 times)

I do a lot of green spells with my sage and alchemist. I find it easier to make pristine plus there's all the bonuses. I'd say stick with it but if you GF doesn't like you to play... stick with her.

When you're in your teens and into early 20's your level may have gone up much faster than your skill, so even con recipes get hard. This is most apparent with fast leveling scholar trades. You might want to slow down a little by intentionally failing to counter and spamming the durability buffs until you max out your skill.

Eat a bit of fuel and some basic raw components to get your skills up as high as possible. I also don't recommend sticking to just one type. Hit one or two of your progress buttons, but try to avoid the one that is +progress, - durability. That's probably what's killing your chance at pristine. I use a combination of a progress buff here and there, even if it's a lower tier, and then slot in durability where needed. I don't use my counters that are pure progress and pure durability unless a cue comes up. I never have any trouble getting pristine on any of my crafters with this system, and I set everyone up generally the same. It doesn't take all day, either. I do exclusively rush writs for status for my guild and I've never had a problem finishing those well ahead of time.

Three different Guides, because people learn things differentlyL Understanding the Arts - How to Successfully Apply the Tradeskill Arts Power to the Pristine - It's all about the buttons Pristine - how to get it (almost) every time All of these will help you understand how to use your Arts. If you're taking hours at that level to get skillups, there's something you're missing about applying your arts. Look at your skills (Persona Window, Tradeskills) and see what it says your Scribing is at. At level 14 it would be xx/70. What's the xx?

Interesting - of all the tradeskills I've tried - I found scribing the easiest. /shrug
