View Full Version : Heroic Undead solo spots?

I'm a fairly new templar. I was harvesting tier3 stuff in thundering steppes and ran into some level 26^^^ heroic skeletons, and I was at level 35. I noticed that they were pretty good exp, even though they were 9 levels below me. I'm 39 now, are there any more good sites for heroic undead to solo that are higher level? I'd like to find some more spots for them to solo when I can't find a group.

I just got my 21st AA point and got that +25% to all nukes AA, and I'm really liking it. Soloing isn't going very badly at all now at 39.

Maybe Kendricke or someone has an opinion on using my 25AAs differently? I don't know if melee crits would give me the same boost at level 39 and only 25 AAs, who knows. I'm willing to run some tests if we want to compare.

Nektropos Castle may have some good undead for you, though it does have other creatures as well that will take a bit longer to kill. Mobs range in level from high 20s to mid 30s if memory serves me correctly. And as its instanced, you don't have to worry about others ganking your mobs (blue server) or ganking you (red server).

I'm sure there are others as well, including some on Faydwer that I haven't discovered due to be out of my level range at this point, but I hope that helps some.

AA improved nukes seem to work very nicely, and if you'd solo I'd continue to max those out in addition to AD3ing the spells if you can. Melee probably won't help as much at your level. The advantage the people in T7 have is a long delay hammer that allows casts between swings. That's why I think spells are the way to go.

Undead at 39...guh. Nek Castle might be it. Also try the Vampire Chronicles adventure pack if you don't have it. Short of that I can't think of a zone just crawling with undead other than Loping Plains.

Thanks Kendricke, that's exactly what I was doing. Have about 6 points into the INT line so far.

I group whenever I can, and I'm usually the only healer. I haven't once been in trouble, where I wish that I had some extra healing power through AAs. I can usually keep a group up with only debuff heals, and get a lot of nukes in, with my "shadowpriest" buff still up (25% nuke damage turns off for 6 seconds whenever you cast a beneficial spell)

I've done ruins of varsoon, nek castle, rivervale, and runneye pretty thoroughly. I suppose eventually healing will get harder and I'll be more tempted to ditch my offensive AAs for ones that help out with healing, but I haven't been tempted yet. I even have master1's on my 2 nukes but only adept1's on most my heals. I'm 41 and haven't gotten a group yet for cazic thule, we'll see how that goes.

At 39 you can also do some named farming in RoV, most of the names are undead, and there are several areas with undead in the low 30's

Now that you have finished the Holy Smite line, i would suggest doing exactly what Kendricke suggested, go 4/4/8/8 down your Intelligence line.

The faster casting and 28% spell crit (nuke crit) is a HUGE improvement on DPS and survivability (less time casting, both damage and heals, meaning less chance for interruption).

Since EoF, i would suggest staying away from the AGI line, the melee skills and +40% dps used to be very nice, but since EoF, they seem to have nerfed priest autoattack hit rate (decreased it 30-40%). I used to be AGI and STA line and used the 8 second delay 2H, and could get some very nice numbers, but since EoF, missing 30-40% of the time with an 8 second delay weapon hurt the DPS so much that I was forced to switch lines.

well now that i went away from the AGI line and dont rely on melee dps too much anymore, i still have 50% crit, so its worth it to still autoattack, but I still miss too much for my liking than to try and make myself a specialist in that area.
