Test server crafting bug? (sorry can't post to Test forum- pls move)

Is this a known issue? Is there any workaround? I leveled to "2", got the ching noise of level, got the level 2 artisan book, but its red to me. Yes, I talked to both. First the one who gives the quest, and then the other one (who sells all the books, or at least did a while ago - now all she sells is the scroll to start the crafting quest.) They both talked to me, just the "level up" you usually get when getting book 2 to start out happened in sound and text, it just didn't "click" so that my fae could actually scribe the book.   So basically, they gave me the quest, leveled me to level 2 verbally and in text on the screen, gave me book 2 and three, and then told me to get busy. Problem is, I really *didn't* level to 2, so the beginning text is above my level.   I was just wondering if there was somewhere like the statue in the priest place in freeport to click as a workaround?  Not yet I guess, but I hope soon <img src="/smilies/3b63d1616c5dfcf29f8a7a031aaa7cad.gif" border="0" alt="SMILEY" />  Crafting is at least 50% of the game for me.  lol  Life with a baby, eh?

Sounds like it's definitely a bug. I have 4 on test but all are above level 20 crafting so I couldn't check myself.
