I only have 3 chat channels, is that normal?

I'm a 17 Gnomish Guardian, and I started in Kelethin.  The only chat channels I have are OOC, level 1-9, and level 10-19.  I seem to remember the Dark Elf Dirge I started received access to a bunch of channels.  Dark Elf, Dirge, auction, some Freeport channels I think.  When I check the chat window settings with my gnome I only have those 3 channels available.  Is something wrong?  Thanks for the help.

If you right click on the chat window and go to chat options you can see the channels you have access to, it should show you there what you can use, there will also be check boxs so you can select the ones you want to "watch"

Totally.  I only have those 3 channels and they all have check boxes.  That's what bothers me.

its a known problem, one of a long list of "whoops, our bad" about kelethin, if you look on the right side of that window, the create/join boxes? just go ahread and punch in the name of the qeynos_* channel you wanna join, it'll work. if you dont know the spelling, or whats available, if you have a spare slot, make a new toon in of teh same class and start it in qeynos, and look at the available channels, the game does check, so you cant just join race/class/level channels you shouldnt be in, but it works. my fae sage sits in Qeynos_Crafting all the time. its a pain to do commision work tho. this causes some confusion as people from kelethin ask questions about npc locations and get even more confused when all the answers relate to being IN qeynos. i've gotten into the habit of asking people "qey or kele" when they ask where something is.

Thanks for the info.  I never would have figured that out without your help. So there are no Kelethin channels?  Seems like a huge oversight.

well, if you /join it, it exists. the channels they pre list for you are no different then any player named ones. technicly, you could make a channel called "Level_71" and get everyone to join it, and its not different then being in "Level_60-69" on my server, there was already some people in "Kelethin_Crafting" when i went to join it they said a while back that it was an oversight, and "should be fixed soon"
