<p>Okay, level 61 Coercer here. I read the boards and had been waiting to try out the Corpse Candle mob in the Bonemire that I had heard spoken of so much.</p><p> All I have to say is 'unbelieveable'!! I have Dominate at M1 and this lv 66 fellow was launching serious nukes!I have not had so much fun in a long, long time..... Of course, I died about a dozen times during the process as well, but we are used to that...</p><p>If you haven't tried it, you have to! Lots of risk of death and dismemberment, but lots of fun too... makes all the dying as you level just a little more worth it to finally see a big number or two before your Charm breaks...</p><p>Vekks Varaszlo</p><p>61 Coercer</p><p>Lucan D'Lere</p>

"Do it but don't talk about it" - Would be good if all coercers follow this rule. They nerfed us so much and they will continue nerfing us when they read such posts.

<p>Well, it wasn't like I didn't get killed a lot too.... Thes mobs were about 6 levels above me at the time so when my Charm broke I had to Tashiana, mez, Charm.... I recall once it took eight Charm attempts to get a mob under control. Good thing I fought from the landing pad cause I'd have gotten creamed if I went in to Cacotoxic any further.</p><p>The nukes are nothing like a player Caster can produce, but it was sure a welcome change from having to Charm sentries in SoS. So slow!</p><p>: )</p>

I wouldn't know what to do with myself if they made it no charm. There are so many no charm mobs in the game right now <img src="/smilies/9d71f0541cff0a302a0309c5079e8dee.gif" border="0" alt="SMILEY" /> It is a lot of fun though <img src="/smilies/3b63d1616c5dfcf29f8a7a031aaa7cad.gif" border="0" alt="SMILEY" />

I honestly don't think they will be nerfed at all. When KoS came out, everyone knew about the bloodblooms in TT and the candles in Bonemire. The candles remain untouched, but the bloodblooms were made uncharmable because of the speed you can do basket quests.

<p>Yeah bonemire is pretty quiet these days, don't think anyone cares about corpse candles/flames being over powered these days.</p>

Yeah, I'm looking forward to being about level 63 or 64 so they'll only be yellow to me when I go to charm them.  For now I'm using the Redbeard Chaplains in LP -- consistent nuking for about 1800-2K, melee hits for about 450-500, plus they heal themselves so they can go pretty much non-stop and even handle 2-3 mobs at a time.  Sure, not quite as impressive as the big hits on the candle, but a very nice pet all the same.  At level 60 I would charm a level 64 chaplain and send it against leel 68 mobs and get more xp than I would vs yellow heroics in a group. . . . .  Plus doing quests on top of that lovely "grind xp" makes for some pretty fast levelling, so. . . won't be long before I'm hitting Bonemire for the big nukes, but I think I'll still spend plenty of time in LP too.

Once my coercer hit 61 I gave these things a test drive just to see what all the hype was about. They burned through solo orange mobs in Bonemire like they were nothing. Of course, I died from breaks and resists at least a dozen times, but it was fun.

If only they had kept their mouth shut about HOF.  If only they had kept their mouth shut about the XP bug.  If only...  <feel free to add more> <cite>Soldancer wrote:</cite><blockquote>"Do it but don't talk about it"</blockquote>

<p>Heh.  Charmed my 1st Corpse Candle today.  Was fun.  Didn't make me invulnerable, and the time the render bug made it so I couldn't see 4 unlinked mobs until I'd already aggro'd them and had nowhere to run didn't help either.</p><p>Still, was a fun afternoon with it.  I've been places in Bonemire with my 63 Coercer (well.. 64 now. . .  discovery and quest xp ftw!!!) that even my 70 Inquisitor hasn't seen now. . . .</p><p>I woulnd't want to just grind or anything though.  That'd be awfully boring, IMO.  1st Nuke the 1st one I charmed threw out was a crit for 8988, then a 2nd nuke for 7090.  Now if only the /pet ranged didn't seem to bug about half the time. . . . </p>
