Boosting my melee through AAs

<p>I am still trying to create a ranger build with some more melee ability.  I am even willing to sacrifice some bow strength to do that.  My question concerns whch Predator/Ranger AA path might help me get there.  Is Str and Int the way to go?  Will this boost my melee to any significant degree?  Would this truly [Removed for Content] my character (I am PvE only)?</p><p>Thanks!</p>

Maybe the ranger AA that increases the duration or reuse time of our DPS buff? Thats your best bet on improving melee. I don't believe you will see significant change by much of anything else.

i suggest Sta for double attack coupled with str for melee crits

I would agree the strength and stamina lines are what you want to be a melee ranger

You can build melee ranger but his effectivness will be similar to melee tanking wizard. Can you done it? yes But after you group with someone and they see your "performance" they will never EVER invite you to group again... and why they should? it will be waste of slot... Ranger have damage and only damage 0 real utility, and with your melee ranger your damage will be lower than drunked templar after few bad days in work and no sleep....... so why bother and invite you if they could pick someone else that will be at least half decent? And you will find quite a lot of groups that would prefer to go 1 man short than use melee ranger... why? becouse they see that he dont know his class and toon he play... and one bad player is faster way to revive than one man short in group becouse of such small details like: not assisting tank, grabing adds, moving away from group and running back with train on his backs and hundred more way group can end up wiped...

Oh well, it was worth asking again with the new AAs.  For some reason, I just cannot get into playing my swash and as I stated I have previosuly liked the melee ranger in other games.  The one point I would disagree with is the exaggeration of a melee ranger's ill-effects on the group.  if I were to make one, I agree his DPS would be sub-par.  Does that mean that I will forget all I know and get adds all over the group, not assist the main tank, etc?  Nope, that is a ridiculous over-exaggeration even though your main point was solid and much appreciated.

No worries at all, and as I said I truly appreciate your feedback on this topic.  By the way, your english is very good and you should not apologize for it.  I struggle with english at times (my native language), let alone learning other languages.  Thank you for your insight and I believe that you are orrect in your statements.  Good luck to you and thanks again!
