just level 12 at the mo and really having fun charming level 12 gargoyles in the graveyard to fight mobs for me. Having a reall fun time with all the aspects of the class and the dieing does not bother me as much as i thought it would.

Have completed splitpaw on my ranger and had a hell of a time in harclaves due to the group mobs. I am handing groups a lot better at the moment, stun and mezz help here.

So how difficult will it be in splitpaw? was thinking i should wait for the ae mezz or stun I hear that is coming up, (level 25 i think).

i know i have to wait until level 20 to even get in but i am doing a lot more than was possible on my ranger at this level so really looking forward to heading in there again.

Well, getting there would be easy as you have a ten minute invis and no mobs see invis...same with the other classes. The "solo" quests in there should be the same as the other classes. Watch for adds, charm, mez...the usual. I think they hardest quest would be the harclave. I dont think any pet you can charm will get the harclave buff, so your pet will be dead in a second or two. Plus, we cannot do any real damage so the coercer is probably a class that can die a lot in harclave. I would think the easiest way would be to invis your way to the two guys, then just charm and let the pet die. You wont get much EXP, but no one does splitpaw anyway and the EXP comes from sitting on the throne at the end. So in that sense it might be much easier.

The solo arena can suck. Everything for me was a breeze until the last mob (The Champion). He is hard to kill with no pet and our crappy burn. He's a caster. Once you get the burn from Splitpaw vendor, he becomes MUCH easier. I tried a couple different strats on him. Mezz and drain mana worked pretty good, because his dots are rough. I ended up doing the group instances. Hargrave I tried to go to fast and died after you jump down. I think I could have done it ok if I had taken my time. The first few fights where not hard. Group Mezz locked up stuff fine. Oh, one thing I ran into was your pet may depop after you move into the next phase. I had that happen as well. Good luck!

Oh, the solo "blow up supplies" one is fun and not hard. My only issue was pet pathing and agroing extra groups. That got me killed more than once. Not sure if I was just a newb or it's just that much of a hassle to work pets in their. You can get some really nice caster pets. So, there you go for what it's worth. I liked Splitpaw.

Don't waste time fighting everything in Harclave. Invis through the torch section and get the buff. Then go looking for a solo mob, preferably one of the caster or healer types. Charm him and re-invis until you get across the chasm to the ledge where the first group of shrooms are. Send your pet to attack one of the healer shrooms. Once they're all on the pet, encounter mez (if you're 25, otherwise encounter stun) and pick off the mobs one by one. Leave one of the healer shrooms alive and with full health, send the pet to die against it. As soon as your pet dies, stun/mez the healer shroom and charm it, it nukes nicely. Wait for it to heal to full if necessary. With your new friend, pet pull the shroom king out to where you are to avoid his adds. Keep him stun/mez locked as much as possible; he's a chanter and will do the same to you and your pet, but he'll die fast. Once the shroom king is dead, invis down to the throne, go through the nonsense of building stairs up to it, and climb up to where the boss and his two adds are. Send pet against one of the adds, encounter mez and single-target mez the boss. Pick them off one by one. If your pet dies, encounter mez again and charm the remaining add. The fight's easy and you should never be in any real danger if you know how to lock down mobs. It's actually good practice for this because the Harclave buff will keep you from being one-shotted for a mistake. This can be done, start to finish, in about 10-15 minutes, and is great exp for the time it takes. Happy hunting.

Doing the Arena with no pet is silly. Behind the fence there are arena guards you can charm him to be your pet. Takes a couple mins to position to get him but you can do it. Then the arena is a cinch.

Hardclave you first light all of the fires and click ark then you can set up outside the mushroom guys area kill group there and the solo worm (i petted him) then solo pull the king. Invis and run to throne stack boxes to get on ledge and climb up and kill the 3 there.

Extermination is VERY difficult to solo as mobs spawn freakin everywhere.

The prank quest is easy you just have to kill mobs you can't sneak it all the way.

Wish I had known about charming the crowd! Woulda made the solo arena MUCH easier. Did try and when I could not target assumed it was impossible. Grrrrr! My fault for not dinking with it more.

I did the arena solo with no pet. Just the other night, actually. My coercer is lvl 39, though - so I had Haruspex instead of its previous version. The solo mobs I toed it out with. Each one finished with me about 40% health. For the groups I group mezzed, then recruited one and sic'd them on their friends. Then I sat down and regen'd health and mana, broke mez and toed it with the ex-pet. The Champ I rooted, hit with withering gaze and consuming thoughts. Refreshed root. Sipped my soda and hit him with withering gaze when it refreshed. By the time I was done he had just about enough power left for two spells. So I hit him with our caster reactive and haruspex and broke root. He folded like a $2 bill. Harclave's would have been CAKE except I became enamored of the fact that the 'shroom overseer I'd charmed was a chanter so I was hauling him around with me as I was stacking boxes in the final area to get to the mob with the throne. Charm broke and I suddenly had 30 new friends all wanting a piece of my time and body. Tonight, Mr. Shroomy doesn't get to come with me when I go down there.

I want to clarify something about arena. The spectators can NOT be charmed only the arena guard.
