Gaunt Totemic Hat From Vaults

<p>I finally bought the Tribal Spiritualist Hat off the broker for my 70 Mystic. Many months of hitting vaults and I never saw it drop. The Tribal Spiritualist Hat has a clicky for mana...did this new hat you posted take the place of the hat I just bought? Main reason I ask is I have a 56 Defiler..didnt know if I should buy one of the remaining Tribal Spiritualist Hats off the broker or  if the stats are the same on both the hats(they just changed the way you receive the mana).</p>

My best guess would be that this one will eventually replace the one that everyone has now, sadly.

I'm pretty sure its a different helm. This would boost Mystic power regen by a bunch, and when you need extra power you can still switch in the old helm. Need to farm vaults <img src="/smilies/69934afc394145350659cd7add244ca9.gif" border="0" alt="SMILEY" />.

You have to use up power attacking to get any power back from this hat, so ultimately it is a lot worse, at least for raiding.  I don't have the game open now to compare,l but the resists look weak if nothing else.  SOE often doesn't replace old armor with the new, and considering the fortune a lot of people spent on the old hat and the need for it to keep up with Defilers they shouldn't.  If they haven't already done it, I expect they won't.

First off, that's the defiler class hat graphic. Way to go SOE art team. It's a decent hat, though, if you are determined enough to do so you can swap it back and forth with the spiritist's hat for extra power. As was stated, it procs off of every hostile spell including debuffs so it's not like you have to do anything "extra" to get a chance for a proc. As far as I know, the old hat is still dropping, they just added this one for some reason. I think someone in the item development department didn't even realize that shamans had a hat dropping in vaults already and made a new one.

I heard this hat drops from Unrest.. I guess I was misinformed? Because I haven't seen any Tribal Spiritist's Hats dropping, nor has anyone else have, nor have I seen any on the broker for the past 2 weeks.

<p>The Ykesha's Spiritwalker helm drops in Unrest (as well as the other legendary set hats from EoF).</p><p> The 2 hats mentioned in this thread are from a zone off of Barren Sky.</p>

The reason both mystics and defilers are on this item is due to the perceived problem of adding an item (Gaunt Totemic Hat) that only once class (defiler) can use yet having another item that ALSO drops that both can use.  How would you guys feel if defilers had it both ways?  <img src="/smilies/8a80c6485cd926be453217d59a84a888.gif" border="0" alt="SMILEY" /> At the end of the day, it's easier to make both items available to both classes.
