Do I just use Fraps to get footage? Are there any other alternatives?

I use Gamecam V1 Lite its free and lot less laggier than fraps. Just go to google and type in GameCam

only program i've ever heard of for captureing video is FRAPS. If you haven't downloaded FRAPS yet send me a pm, if you get the trial version it will run out and will be hard to get it again with out paynig for the program

I use the registered version of Fraps, never had any issue with lag at all. In fact, I have it set so that fraps runs when I turn my pc on.... the times I wish I had it running and forgot.... now at least, all I have to do is remember to press the correct button!

I have only made 3 pvp videos, used fraps and windows movie maker for all of em.

I love to see other pvp vids, looking forward to seeing yours. Now to put my feet up, gather up my pipe and watch killque kick some butt!

Try Ulead Video studio for editing.

It is very easy to use and user friendly, but you can dive deeper and add lots of effects also. You can get 30 day free trial with full usability, exporting movies etc. www.ulead.com
