I just got the cowl of the pathfinder. I am wondering which one people feel is better, cowl or Hoolahs hat. I guess it comes down to is the proc for the cowl worth more than the +4 ranged of hoolahs? Buaf

Switch them out to see which one gives you the best bang. All things being equal, carry both and use the one that gives you the best resists for what ever mobs you are killing at the time.

Stick with the cowl it looks better. If you dont plan to show it then stick with the hoo'lah.

They look the same, just one a different color. I guess the bigger question is how much does+4 to ranged help vs increase in attack speed? Buaf

Color of the pathfinding looks alot better then the nasty grey of hoo'lah. And the proc ont he pathfinding is only 10 seconds, and considering you have a 7 second cool down on auto attack with your bow it really doesnt do much.

Actually your delay is closer to 3-4sec considering your a ranger and are always hasted

With self haste at Master1 you are at 40% I think. That will make a long bow with a delay of 7s about 5 secs.100% haste would make it 3.5 secs I believe. And then it diminishes after that due to the curve. Oh, and the Crown of X'Vihaz (sp?) is better than both of those More strength and more intelligence and better resists. It drops from the Chamberlain in Nest.

I carry both the Hooloh and the Pathfinder with me. I like the added str and proc (allbeit a small proc) the Pathfinder gives but I like the +skills added by the Hooloh. Its a tough call, I hope to aquire the Kithicor hat (well the entire set really) someday to end the debate but who knows when, if ever, that gonna happen.

I got a nice upgrade to those hats in Lyceum a few weeks ago off the named mob with the fearlings. It's called "Fearling Tot Bulb-Bone" and it has +24 STR, +29INT +4 Ranged, +4 slashing, Health Regen IV, and a couple of pretty nice resists.

It looks like a green and purple knitted hat. Pretty darn ugly in my opinion. But, there is no reason to show it.

Um that is a raid hat And I dont think this person has access to raiding or he would not be worried which one was better since they are both legendary. Obviously, a fabled helm is better than those legendary PoS

I also have the crown. It does have nice STR, but less of a + to ranged. I still dont know how much the + ranged improves my DPS vs the improvement to DPS from an increase in STR. Buaf

i have both, had hooloh first than bought pathfinder... i am one of those that think "every bit helps", especially if that bit is in crit chance proc hit quite often, diffrence is hardly noticable by its own but if you go for "best you can" its worth it, additional +5 to strength is nice to have too. from other hand hooloh + to ranged isnt noticable if you have extension
