Hey Need a question answered please. Where do i find info about what gender and race is better for what class. I also would like to know what bonuses a certain race gets for certain tradeskill. I have looked at eq2 eq2i and tentonhammer and i believe o-gaming. They do not have what I need which is ( let us use this an an example Erudite, Male Mage Sage, what bonus if any for being male, erudite or whatever) I hopeI am making sense, in other words tell me what race is good at what class and what tradeskill more help on the tradekill bonuses. The links do not make sense to me. I am not a good person to read and comprehend i need al ist like (a= whatever racial bonus +tradeskill = better tradeskill) I know that humans are supposed to be better tailors cause an an innate ability does this apply to all races ; if so why are the froglucks not represented anywhere, and why is there not a forum guide with this info. I read the Tradeskill forum and newbie yard my questions are not answered at all (every race but the frogluc )and a concise simple list would be nice ; the links and guides are too confusing. It would help isf someone would just say frogluk or whatever plus this ability makes this a better what ever. Does all this make sense?

The first post in this thread is good. So is Crafting Racial Traditions Guide at EQ2 Traders. Gender doesn't make a difference, though, and the racial bonuses are ony +5, so it's no great tragedy if you don't get the racial bonus. Edit: I should elaborate. No stats, like INT, WIS, AGI, have any direct effect on your tradesilling. So Gender and Adventure class are totally irellevant except in power pool control. There are small Racial bonuses to various tradeskills available at Adventure level 18.

hmm someone told me that for example an erudite is a better alchemist than a human ,and that is becasue of a racial trait. Is this still true? If so where can i find a complete list , i find it a bit odd that the frog people and oger and the fae are let off of the listsI am looking at. I still would like a racial trait list for the races so i can show my frend which race and which class for what. They want a fury and I told them a half elf fury sage would be good bet they say no the want each race to match the class and tradeskill .Is that possible if so how? Where is there a complete list? There was one here about a month ago you typed in race and tradeskill and there was a complete list for each race plus the class and tradeskill. Anyone still have that info

.

The list of racial traits is about 2/3 down the first post in this thread. It's also on the link I posted above. I've never seen a list wher eyou typed in race etc and got matches.

I was lucky enough to win the starter item (Some leather piece from Garanel, final mob, leather insole IIRC). That is the quest starter. This is turned into Hwal Rucksif along with your original DWB who completes and gives the player their CHOICE of any of the boots (so you CAN be a goon and pick the wrong type. You have been warned). Further, if you messed up and sold your original DWB long ago (like I did), you can purchase ANY type (cloth/leather/chain/heavy) from shady swashbuckler and receive ANY type in return. Unfortunately do not have stats for other types, but I WILL verify the harvest bonuses (+20 each) are the same throughout, they are all fabled items, and for what it's worth, the medium (chain) were a HECK of an upgrade to my mccabe's (the eof-set piece for swashes). Will having 2 of these Reinforced Gnomeproof beaker +1% stack with each other giving 2%?

If you equip 2 different items (say a 1% and a 2% item) you get 2 seperate buff icons. This suggests that same items do not stack, but different ones do. Although this is very difficult (if not impossible) to prove with hard numbers.

Any word on racial tradeskill traditions for Arasai? Currently no evil race has rt for Jeweler or Woodworker so that would be the sensible choice for Sony.. or they might just give us yet more Alchemists and Weaponsmith racial traditions... Also how come NO race has a racial tradition that boosts Carpentry?

ATM Arasai have Artificing and Transmuting as Racial Traditions. It only being on test, they could of course change.

Can confirm that as being true. The Arasai do get transmuting and Artificing.

the tinkered harvesting tools are now (well, been a while now) equalized in use levels miscalibrated = artisan level 30 calibrated = artisan level 46 overclocked = artisan level 68 also, all 3 "tiers" now add +skill like the overclocked the dual tools add some to one skill, some to the other. the pickaxe (being only 1 skill) gets a double bonus mc = 5.0 / 10.0 cal = 7.5 / 15.0 oc = 10.0 / 20.0 oh, and if it helps, heres the links to 2 of the upgraded boots aITEM 276522618 -472962492:Reinforced Very Light Dwarven Work Boots/a aITEM 1193534150 387072811:Reinforced Heavy Dwarven Work Boots/a

From what I can tell, no race gets a benefit for Carpentry. Do the numerous Woodworker/Woodworking racial benefits apply to Carpentry? I have searched the forum and been unable to find an answer. Inasmuch as the skills used by Carpenter and Woodworker overlap, it seemed this might occur.

Hey, great site, very useful info. From what I have observed my Half Elf is MUCH better at Carpentry than Fletching. She can complete a Carpentry item nearly as quickly as my level 42 Dark Elf Sage can complete a spell (and she's fast!). When doing a Carpentry item she uses the three progress buttons about 75% of the time to get pristine. On the other hand if I have her try to make a Fletched item I'm mashing the durability buttons about 85-90% of the time and getting extremely aggravated that it feels like it take 5 minutes to make an item. I don't know if something has changed but I don't believe the Half Elf Racial tradition applies to Fletching.

I have a very important question. If I play a dwarf (-1 sec mining) and use the best mining tool (-2.5 secs), will my total bonus be 3.5 seconds, or is it capped at 2.5? Also, what do crafting skills affect, exactly? The chance of success/failures? Would having, say, 5 points above my normal max make a huge difference?

Also, I didn't see it, so I'll post it here. Sarnak have a 0.5 sec reduction for all harvesting, and wood elves have a 1 sec reduction for gathering and foresting.

I can't quite remember, but I seem to remember Humans had the same general -0.5 sec bonus as the Sarnak. (I created and deleted repeatedly a couple of days ago to look at various racial and class bonuses).

I was looking over all the dietys which I haven't really done for a long long time, and had no idea what the newer ones do.. and needing to pick a diety for a little character, but anyway...Brell's Hammer should be added to this list. I never noticed that before, it is the highest level blessing of Brell and gives you 10 minutes of an uber hammer you can equip for +25 artifacing, metalshaping, metalworking and sculpting. It summons 2 of them in the description, I guess if you can dual wield?Brell is definitly worth using as a diety if you don't need another for a specific reason (honestly they are limited use anyway with the short miracles & blessings and 1 hour recast). There are 4 miracles & blessings that are tradeskill/harvest boosts (one gives you +25 mining for 25 mins). This is a very "fluff" diety IMO, there's a shrink blessing, and also defensive and offensive blessings, and the cloak has a heal proc.
