So, in case you haven't heard, the finals in each line are now going to only cost 2 AAs, but instead you need 22 AAs in the line to get them(so they still end up costing 24). Which means we can now max out Spell Crits and end up with Perputality and Volatile Magic. So That's where I'm thinking about how exactly to change the AGI/INT Spec setup. The way I am thinking is to setup as AGI 4-8-7-4-Perputality, and INT 6-4-4-8-Volatile Magic. Since, most of the INT line is crap and who has time to go in melee range and switch in a 2Her while using the AGI line, and the Interruption Barrier is really just crap. Then on the AGI line, I figure getting Chronosiphoning maxed is always a good choice, and since we have perputality the extra 1.75% spell haste per point is a complete waste of points, so why not just increase the Recovery Haste we can get.

i was thinking the exact same thing - it leaves like what, 7% or so casting time haste left to the cap, which is partially/fully buffed by a troub anyway, but no1 really buffs recovery time so it works out.

Thinking pretty much the same thing here too. Knowing that this change was coming, I recently used my free respec of the KoS lines to pre-test some of the changes before a forced respec hits. I switched from an AGI/STA setup to STA/INT, maxing out spell crits and taking Volatile Magic... and I easily saw an increase in my average DPS by 200-300 - without Chronosiphoning or spell haste. By adding just Chronosiphoning back (once the 6 points are refunded from Volatile Magic), the numbers will go even higher. What's going to be the hard decision for me, though, is whether or not to keep the STA line for Empathic Soothing and Empathic Aura. As I've mentioned before on this forum, our raid force in the Legion is Qeynos-only - and those defensive buffs have been handy in the past.

This basically gives me Perputality for free. I was originally thinking that the agility line would be better with 4-8-4-7-Perputality than the way you listed it. The cooldown may be more desireable though with all that spell haste already.

Nice change. I'm wondering why they made the final AA cost 2 instead of 1 though.

Zebsen

Zebsen wrote:

Nice change. I'm wondering why they made the final AA cost 2 instead of 1 though.

Well, by adding a pre-buy requirement to the Achievement, they're making sure that it still costs 24 points in a line to get the end-line ability. As for why it was a 22-2 split to spend 24 rather than 23-1, your guess is as good as mine. Perhaps it's just due to developer/designer preference for having round numbers on such things. I know that happens from time to time with my development team at work.

I am going to try the str line again with this change. It is difficult to time the aoe immunity but I like the extra challenge.

the STR line doesnt give u aoe immunity on 99% of mobs, so good luck

wouldnt AGI 4-8-8-4-Perputality, and INT 5-4-4-8-Volatile Magic why not max both cloroplasting and spell haste, it does more then aditional 4int should use up all 49 aa in kos there kelly

because u will have to have 22 in a line to be able to get the last abilities, and perpet and volatile give more DPS than the rest of the AAs combined

Anyone know what the titles are per line?

Zephanor wrote:
Anyone know what the titles are per line?
I'm guessing it's whatever term they refer to you as in that particular line. For example, if you went AGI you would have the title Chronomancer, or Savant for the INT line. That's how they did it in SWG anyway.

scl is right.

As far as AA's go, I'm already specced VM+perp but the extra crits, int, recovery time and spell haste is very nice

Turns out you don't actually need 4 points in the next-to-last AA to open the final, so my AGI line after today's update looks like 4/8/8/3/2.

The Agility line gives the title Chronomancer and the Intelligence line gives Savante. I've got 4/4/7/7/1 in AGI line at the moment. May fine tune it a bit. I'm trying to catch up on the INT like and go 6/4/4/8/1 ... I think... need a few more AA to finish that one though.

I was thinking along those lines myself.

Counterarguments though,

The 1.7% per point from Chronology is always active, and cannot be 'resisted'. Chronology (and Chronomotion) also don't seem to need an empty off-hand (when did that change?). Whereas the incremental 2% per point from Chronosiphoning does need an empty off-hand, has to be 'activated', and Chronosiphoning can be resisted

I tried something I consider a bit of a pvp spec. Agi 4/8/4/7/1 Int 4/4/6/8/1. My dps has gone up 50%(maybe more) since getting the savant 2 days ago.
