Creature Mastery (Legends and Lore) Quests Thread Consolidation [ Edited ] Note from Sulas: I saved this info from the original boards since it seemed too valuable to risk losing. iasmin Defender Posts: 492 Registered: 11-30-2004 Viewed 37840 times One of the tough parts of reading the boards is that you inevitably end up with 100000 posts in the one good thread you liked about a topic. Bookmarks provide a good way to keep track of that thread, but eventually you have a huge collection of the threads you keep track of. I've been tracking the Creature Mastery/Legends and Lore threads and wading through the information has been tedious, amusing, frustrating, and at the very least rewarding for all the generous information the various contributors have offered up. For my guild buddies, I've been regularly posting information on the quests to our guild boards and I thought that the consolidated information might be of use to more than just them. I'm posting the information here as well because it consolidates the threads I've read and includes information that simply doesn't appear in any one thread. Here's the general format of an entry: Creature Name Title of Creature Mastery Book Location: (linked to pictures where possible): Directions and locs. Post beta?: Whether or not it's confirmed to exist post beta. Reward: What the reward is called (not including the book you get). Quote: The quote displayed when you examine the reward. Level Requirement: What level you must be to start the quest. Notes: Any notes of reported status from the Devs. If no notes, this line won't appear. Question marks in areas listed means that people have suggested ranges or possibilities or there are conflicting reports on information. Where I've had information about books existing in both Qeynos and Freeport areas, I've listed that too. Corrections welcome, comments appreciated, updates wholeheartedly encouraged. I'll be keeping an eye on the thread and all the others that pop up so I can keep the list up-to-date (some of the other threads haven't had their initial posts updated in a while). My many many thanks to everyone that posted on these quests in other threads. There's no way I would be able to list or thank them all. Forgive my blatant stealing of your text at times, friends. You said it much better than I could. One person, however, deserves quite a bit of thanks. Nith, on the Unrest server, spent a lot of time gathering up quests and shooting screenshots of the starting locations for people who were having trouble finding the books. It's to Nith's website that the Location links are linked, if a picture exists. Thanks, Nith! ~ Kodia, Monk in Training, Blackburrow Server ~ Jaddari, formerly of Stromm, Mystic in Training, Blackburrow Server [Information after 09-18-2005 edit was added by Sulas on 01-31-2007] Aviak First Flight Location: Barren Sky, Wisperwind Island, climb up all 3 walls; big root in the camp. LIZARDMAN L & L book is not where you say. My Guildies and I got it last week from the CAZIC-THULE TEMPLE LIBRARY, quite deep in indeed.

Just wondering... is it possible to finish a Lore and Legend quest after the mobs are gray to you? Will I still get updates if I'm pounding on Gray golems for instance? Thanks,

There are also several L&L books in Greater faydark. Orc is in a weapons rack in Crushbone Keep near the entrance. Treants is in a chest in a tent on Orc hill. There is one (don't remember which) in an acorn near the bank in Kelethin, and one (Bixies?) on a bookcase in the acorn building in the Nursery area.

Your starting level on Goblins and Sirens is too high. I routinely send characters over to EL to pick up the books once they hit 20. Have to be 20 though or you can't get the book.

Shadowjack

Hmm it seems that my level 70 Assassin with full Hot Bars failed to receive Master Strike spell. Any idea how to get this spell? I'm not willing to /petition seeing as almost ever petition I've ever submitted has never been read and had a can'd answer applied and then immediately closed. Is there some NPC to see or can this be handled by email? Of all the toons I've checked (haven't verified all of them have it) Ferrit seems to be the only one that has Full Hot Bars and no Master Strike, I've prob looked thru my spell book a dozen times. Something about Ferrit, everytime SOE alters (as in, removes and adds) spells in spell book, something goes missing. /Petition is not interested in helping these matter, from experience, they seem bent on telling me to do what I've described as having done and closing my ticket before I can answer (under 24 hours), this my lack of interest in attempting /Petition.

If you have not *finished* any lore and legends yet for that character, you will not have the skill. Once you finish your first, then you will automatically get it. Just happened to me on my alt.

I don't know what the minimum level for the Aviak quest is, but it's certainly not 70: I've completed it with characters as low as 25 so far. The book itself is easy to get for anyone that can get to the Spires in Nek Forest or Thundering Steppes.

Information regarding Fallen Gate is very dated. You do not need an access quest or key to the zone anymore as it was removed quite some time ago and the entrance to Fallen Gate is nowhere near Thieve's Way. Fallen Gate is located at the northwest corner of Commonlands
