<DIV>A quick question folks, hope you can help a newbie decorator</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>I want to make myself a 4th room in my 3 room house by laying some rugs accross the rafters that are high up in one of my rooms, and then building a staircase up to the rugs and thus making myself a bedroom. (Do necromancers sleep, and more importantly do they sleep in a bedroom?)</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>Anyho Im fine with building a uniform looking staircase, but im not sure about the rugs. Can anyone tell me which ones are solid? so that when I put them over the rafters I wont fall between the gaps in the rafters when I walk on them... Asking because Im under the impression that only a few are 'solid' like this.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>Cheers - Toka <img src="/smilies/3b63d1616c5dfcf29f8a7a031aaa7cad.gif" border="0" alt="SMILEY" /></DIV>

<font color="#E2BD01">Antonican and Emblished rugs (T3, both lvl 29), rough linen rug (T5, lvl 47), and horned leather rug (T7, lvl 67) are the *only* four crafted rugs currently in-game that are solid. These are all common, so no worry about using a lot of rares to get a solid floor. The only problem will be that all four rugs do not have a graphic when seen from underneath. If you want your floor above the rafters to look right, you will need to use a different rug, either below or above one of the solid types, to make it so you can't see through the floor when you're downstairs looking up.

<DIV>Superb - thanks matey <img src="/smilies/3b63d1616c5dfcf29f8a7a031aaa7cad.gif" border="0" alt="SMILEY" /></DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>Yep I was planning to cover the rugs with coalition ornate rugs, as they are a bit more fitting for a necromancers home (bright red - ugh!).</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>So far I have made my staircase 3 times - one day i will get it right <img src="/smilies/9d71f0541cff0a302a0309c5079e8dee.gif" border="0" alt="SMILEY" /></DIV>

Which rugs can't be seen through from the bottom? I am trying to do the same thing as the op and none of my rugs isn't 'invisible' from the floor.<div></div>

The ones that you can stand on are all invisible from the bottom as far as I recall... so the rough linen, canvas, etc. What I usually do is place the one that I want to see from the bottom first, then layer the walkable ones on top. If you hate the colours of the walkable ones though, you could try it in reverse so that the ones you like hopefully show through both top and bottom, but I seem to recall having a problem with the visible ones not showing through the invisible ones... but you'd have to experiment <img src="/smilies/3b63d1616c5dfcf29f8a7a031aaa7cad.gif" border="0" alt="SMILEY" />. If I have time tonight I'll do a bit of testing, I think I have some of most rugs in my inventory.
