<DIV>There is an obvious relationship between hits or deaths from one of gor's ae's that spawn the adds on 2nd floor, but what spawns the 3rd floor adds? they are not ice dervish, and they just sit on the glass and only become a prob when tank is ported there...</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>for those of you who have a slow and steady fight with gor, how do you handle the adds? full raid burn or just an add group?</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>has anyone tried having a group of 3 or so killing the adds that are on the glass? do they repop??</DIV>

<P>Prevent deaths, players and pets alike. Swarm pets create massive amounts of adds. Tank pets are ok but they need to be looked after just like any other player. Just slowly burn him down, keep aggro on your rotating tanks and keep pets alive. If nothing dies, the ported tanks can safely run back and start grinding hate positions. </P> <P>Adds first populate the bottom area's, then the top.</P> <P>Once the raid is on the same page this mob goes from being a huge headache to a simple and fun fight, worth going back to once a week for an easy kill.</P> <P> </P> <P> </P>

<DIV>Best we has was 4 adds during the entire fight from 2 deaths on pull, 1 pet death 1 player death. While we've yet to get a completly clean run I'll assume no deaths = no adds. Just be careful as utility pets or proc pets can also generate adds. </DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>For example my defilers spiritual circle will generate adds when its destroyed. The "whirling blades" proc from the DT sword or proc pets from Pride's Edge can do the same.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV> </DIV>

So if swarm die due to the AOE (and of course they alwasy do), then you get lots of adds spawning.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>They start spawning in the circles on the 2nd floor and finish off spawning on the top floor.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>When the tank gets ported, if it is on the 2nd floor, you can usually avoid the adds that may have spawned there. But if adds get to 3rd floor and tank gets ported there, generally you get one dead tank. <img src="/smilies/3b63d1616c5dfcf29f8a7a031aaa7cad.gif" border="0" alt="SMILEY" /></DIV>

<P>Adds are not spawned from people dying.</P> <P>Find a spot on the 2nd floor to tank Gore (preferably near where the first add spawns), and assign a few people to that one cleared and you won't any issues with adds. They will pile up and potentially become a problem if you don't keep them cleared.</P>

<DIV>Not sure exactly why they spawn, as it has been changed atleast twice.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>Easiest solution is to assign 1 healer, 1 fighter, and 1 dps to keep atleast 1 set of adds dead from the second floor. Keep atleast 1 set dead on second floor, and they won't spawn on the third floor, in the event that the tank(s) get ported up there.</DIV>

We also assign a small amount to clear adds the whole fight. no adds in camp i tell them to go find the adds and pull them in and kill them. we keep the whole floor clear, after 5 or so we generaly are add free the rest of the fight. Also i assign a healer to heal the tanks when they run back so they go back into the fight at full HP. Use to be a bigger deal when you took more falling damage, now it is pretty much a joke when they jump off the top floor.

<p>Talendar is the dragon that if there is adds in the aeo it spawns adds. Gor does not spawn adds. The ice dudes are just in places they will agro because tank gets ported and they move around and agro people in the raid.</p>

<p>What i have noticed (as tank) is that one death of one pet can cuase probably a full add spawn. We usually use Conjurer puller and when we had him summon // dismiss hes pulling pet instant on agro and we had absolutely no death we also had absolutely no adds. However on a few pulls before we figured out how it worked we had a trillion ton of adds all over the place ONLY from the conjurer pet dieing. The fight is incredibly simple when everyone and their pets stays alive throughout the fight. We dont kill him that often so it might have changed abit how many adds you get per death in your raid. We killed it 3 or 4 times without adds btw, so not a strike of random luck i would say. </p>

<p>Well we finally figured out how these adds work,</p><p> any death (including pets) causes a set of 6 linked adds to spawn on the top floor, on the glass.</p><p>these adds stay on the glass until a tank is ported there, at which time they aggro the tank.</p><p>After the 3rd floor adds spawn, we found that killing 5 of the 6 adds, and keeping the last one mezzed will rpevent any more spawns on the 3rd floor, the rest will spawn on second floor.</p><p>so, pull gor above to 3rd floor, if/when adds pop kill 5 and keep one alive, and from there there shouldnt be any more adds on the raid unless the tanks bring them up from 2nd floor.</p>
